Skipped the last mechanic in Aglaia (The cinematic one)

Hey. Got Aglaia in my Alliance Roulette today (Blessed) and we literally skipped the last Nald'Thal mechanic, the one with the cinematic and all, so I was wondering, what if a new player were to do it now? They would miss out on the best part of the raid, wouldn't it be better if Alliance Raid/Important msq stuff was capped, or maybe ilvl capped if a new player is in the instance? I understand people are farming it as of right now and maybe we all knew what we were doing with our jobs and also because of the Moogle Event but this made me even more worried to miss out on content when it's "fresh" and I do not think it's good that some people might not see that mechanic now. What are your thoughts on this? I would personally hate to miss out on certain mechanics like that, considering you don't even skip that much, it's just one mechanic so there's really no point in not making it unskippable.
Edit: Forgot to add that I hadn't done Aglaia in months and I know ilvl is much higher now but the difference was quite noticeable, which is great in terms of dps but I still think new players should have priority on enjoying certain fights.

You should have started worrying about it since CT raids.

And I have, just because I made a post about it now doesn't mean I thought it was great when I started playing. It just hit me now because I hadn't done aglaia in months. I think it would be fun because I am 90% sure no one knows CT mechanics, myself included, it would be fun

Yes, citizen, I agree with you. A lot of non ultimate/savage/ex content is too easy and bosses get killed way too quickly. A new player's experience would benefit, IMO, if ilvl caps or stricter ilvl caps were introduced just so new players can experience the full fight.

It's kind of what they get for making the Alliance Raids as easy as they do...

But the only counter solution to that design the team seems to have is giving the bosses more HP. Which ultimately doesn't really make the bosses that much harder, just longer.

This but at the same time I'm not going to complain when it comes to Aglaia because of the amount of trolls I've seen with the scales. One person wiping the entire party at the last minute because they feel like it isn't fun.

I haven't seen more than a couple of people intentionally wipe the raid with the scales since it was released, but I do see a lot of people going back and forth to mess with the whole alliance. They usually stand still in the right spot when the time for weighing comes though.

Except Aglaia wasn't stupidly easy back when the max ilevel was 600. It was never exactly hard, but it wasn't "shut your brain off after the second run" like dungeons are.

The best thing they could do is synch everyone to whatever max ilevel was when the raid came out once the new gear tier drops. They already do this with 90 dungeons.

Yes it was. I remember threads being brought up about just how little challenge it posted and how people were breezing through it week 1. Euphrosyne is the same. Not hard at all.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Yes having more HP just so people are stuck in an encounter doesn't make it more engaging. So many people think higher level 24 mans are so much better. It is just bosses have more HP and you are stuck playing whack a pinata. If the mechanics changed as the time progressed that would be different, but they don't. It should be balanced for roughly 20 players actually playing and so boss can do all mechanics.

Yuck and yuck again. Nothing says fun like standing around because you are doing too well for the fight. This is one of the worst mechanics in the game, "Sorry your dps is too high sit here and watch the boss" I can't even believe people would suggest let alone support this. The only thing wore then this was 1.0s you played too much so we are going to punish you by lowering the xp you get.If the boss has too many mechanics and can't get through all of them at set HP points redesign them or reduce them.
