My character disappears when she uses the Rising Phoenix mount

Help! When I use the new Rising Event mount Rising Phoenix my character doesn't appear on the model anywhere!

3. Fix it by putting my character on the mount or flagging her visible

As stated in the Blog Post, it's working as intended. It's not really a mount, but rather a device turning you into the Phoenix.

Edit: It feels weird that my character turns into a Phoenix, like the devs didn't want to have them sit on it because it's too difficult to make work and so they resort to this.

This is very possible lol, but the ‘Phoenix morph’ also seems like a reference to ff16. I guess it’s also suppose to reflect the events during the calamity and how Phoenix appeared. But yeah it’s probably more likely that they just couldn’t figure out a way for the characters to sit on it properly lol

Still, personally I think it’s fun to fly around as a Phoenix, and it gives it something that distinguishes it from other mounts too.

Highly unlikely, considering the Rising Phoenix mount uses the same model as the Firebird mount, as well as the Sunforged mount (while in flight). Both have your character model shown.

Probably the references part then. I knew we had other phoenixes (or whatever the plural is lol), but I didn’t realise they were the same models too. I figured there was some weirdness with the model that made them opt to go for the morph thing

Literally almost every single mount in the game has the character visible on it.

I have been wanting there to be mounts where the character isn't visible for so, so long. Mounts where the character is inside the mount and never visible. Slowly, we started getting them, such as with the Omega mount and the Snowman, Level Checker, Blackjack and Miw Miisv mounts. I want more of this.

I did not know someone could actually prefer it like this, happy for you then. Even though it is clearly not meant to be like this.

I think it'd be better for people like you if those mounts were cool, like Miv Miisv and Omega and less amateurish like Blackjack (clearly too small to be an airship, your character would have to shrink, looks ridiculous and cringe) or Rising Phoenix (clearly the transformation is a crazy afterthought, else it would have a transformation animation).
