I do wish XIV's holiday events had more actual...gameplay tied to them.

WoW's tended to be multi-layered with combat-related activities, goofy minigames, and other stuff to give them longevity past the initial story quests.

All I remember are recycled, old content with the same rewards each year. You sure we played the same game?

You can DF the normal version or unsynch it and blast through. It's not a big deal I don't think.

Oh I mean Ive also been here since legacy and I know you can unsync coils now, but on the release of the 2.0 patches if you wanted to know what happened to lousioux and Bahamut then you better be good enough to clear coils or tough luck

I stopped doing these events ages ago. It's the same oversimplified stuff but now with a slightly different token at the end. Neither challenging nor entertaining. So it's perfect for the average MMO player. lol It's like beast tribes but with FOMO and those I can only endure while listening to a podcast.

That's fair. A friend of mine joined FF like three years ago and he did all of it via DF so I guess it's possible. I did Coils as WHM synched. Man, that was so much fun. lol

I did coils on patch as well (on SCH) and they are still my favourite raid tier, I also did second coil savage (well except for T7S, that fight is evil and I have never been able to clear it, nor do I think I ever will)

I started in Nov. 2021. Pretty much as soon as I hit lvl 50, an 80 NIN and RDM offered to carry me through coils unsynched, just for the story. I've since paid the favor forward many times over. I think everyone should see it.

yes did Aglaia in like forever. Not suprised, but kinda funny how bosses die before they get to actually do their mechanics properly
