    SE please change the not-heavy-at-all feeling of DRK attacks

    It has been mentioned elsewhere, and there's a thread in Japanese as well about it, but I feel that DRK attacks feel pretty light, and lack weight, though DRK use 2 handed sword.
    Power slash feel good but Soul eater, syphon strike, delirium combos we use more, feel like the sword is light, and I don't feel like I'm hitting hard, like with my WAR, whose attacks feel heavy weighted and powerful.
    Please sign if you feel the same and want to feel your sword is not in paper. Even PLD Roh feels stronger than DRK most attacks...

    Maybe they did that on purpose so it signifies like your character is getting stronger so you can be like in the animes where they flick around giant swords like toothpicks.

    I can understand where you're coming from (and I feel the same way) but balancing animations with gameplay is really hard, man. If they add weight to the animations, or make them longer, they'll clip into each other and look weird at lower GCDs (so during blood weapon, and if you receive a haste buff, or if you get more Skillspeed) just take a look at Dragon Kick at 3 GL stacks

    That and if the animations were longer and more weighty, the damage would either have to come out faster for balance reasons...Or have them like halone where they happen at the ass end of the cool animation. So annoying. :/

    While I'd like it to happen, I think it's too much work for the animators to consider it.

    I think the best they could do is change audio, like how butcher's block and heavy swing FEEL strong because of the sound. I get the feeling they wanted DRK to sound more like they're using sinister magic though....which is why their abilities sound the way they do instead of having OOMPH.

    To be fair, it would be hard to make attacks feel as weighty as axe hits that turn you into a fiery spiral or crack the ground.

    That said, DRK abilities do look kinda floaty. I was thinking about it the other day, and I think the problem with them is that the pace is so even. As an animator myself, when everything's happening at a steady pace, it looks smooth and uncontentious. But when the first part of an attack is super quick and the last part slows down, it looks savage and satisfying! Perhaps they could speed up the animation lead-ins but leave the particle effects for that percussive oomph?

    personally i rather like the current animations as well as the sound effect they make (they make that buzz sound of a light saber from star wars) i think its kinda cool to see my little mi'quote girl swinging a weapon bigger than she is as if it weighs no more than a feather...

    Many of the attacks are more than 1 swing. Scourge is my favorite, first swing is a little slow, then that second swing looks faster with a lot of force (and that blade glow). It's just Souleater I think isn't as good as the others.. it is 2 swings like Syphon and DEL, but that second swing doesn't look like a swing - looks just like you're landing back on the ground and the blade just happens to fall where the target is when you do, doesn't look like added force.

    Anyways though I do enjoy the sound and visual FX of the weapon skills, a lot of work went into them, and there's the blue&red streaming tails that are left behind with each swing.

    Honestly I found the DRK attack animations to be really underwhelming. The WAR looks like they are putting a ton of effort into axe swings. The DRK looks like he's swinging a cardboard movie prop.

    I actually didn't even consider it until now. But you're right.
    I like it the way that it is tho, but that's just my opinion. I wouldn't mind if they made them feel a bit heavier.

    I just like the '' weightlessness '' feel. I think that it's perfectly fine to have one of the tank with that feeling.
    If you want a heavier feeling tank, then Warrior would be the better option.
    That way, we both get what we want. I see no issue with it.

    Again, just my opinion. I wouldn't get all up in arms if they changed it. I'd just be a bit annoyed I guess, since I like it the way that it is.

    I've got to agree with the above.

    DRK really feels like a DPS job when playing it and I think the fast weightless animations suite it. It could use some slower heavier animations for combo finishers though
