    Accidentally got wrong (duplicate) relic weapon

    A few weeks back, shortly after the launch of the last patch, I finished farming 1500 tomestones of causality. I had heard that the new relic was out, so I went to visit ol' Gerolt and accepted the first quest I saw over there for the Samurai. Yes I was tired, and maybe should have noticed I wasn't talking to Gerolt, rather the mandy artisan, and read the fine print, but what happened happened.

    So I ended up purchasing the 3 manderville meteorites and made myself a second katana (FYI the 3rd step doesn't show up until you complete the sidequest). Sadly, this is completely useless, as I already have the Amazing Manderville Blade, and previous versions are available for glam from the mandy vendor next to Gerolt. I sent a ticket in to support, and they emailed me stating that I need to send them a bunch of information for a one-time restoration, which apparently has a 1 week limit. I'm pretty casual so I missed this window.

    I think this is silly, in-part, because this system could easily allow a swap out (trade 1 for another) removing the necessity of the restoration option. I.e. I could trade the useless Katana for the White mage weapon, or another job, or even exchange it back for meteors, or tomestones. This whole process could simply be avoided *if* you weren't allowed to get duplicate weapons. There are glamour options already available for 1,000 gil apiece. So maybe something to consider adding for the future?
