i finally got a house but i still stand by my opinion that the lotto is a bad system that doesn't necessarily need to go away but is in dire need of improvement. in a way that raises the odds for those who have been trying for what is currently way to long.
like i said i did talk to people who long finished the game and have been trying for almost 2 years and their really is no excuse for that.
especially when the msq starts rewarding with furniture.

Rank 20 would be brutal for someone like me who really does not like IS at all... But if that was what unlocked it I would probably beat my head on my desk and just do it.

Considering you're blocked from using IS if you're not on your home world that is a brutal grind for anyone on dynamis.

How exactly? You can just take care of your island stuff on your home world and then go about your day/week. You don't have to rely on anyone else.

Island Sanctuary was billed as something to do when waiting in the game, but if it has to be on your home world and there's nothing on your home world DF/PF wise then you have to spend the 5 minutes to transfer over to your home world to do your IS and then travel back to do any content , and can't do it in parallel with anything else, which makes it incredibly inconvenient.
It's the same reason I barely get to use my house since buying it.

No it's not. I still spend most of the time on my Dynamis characters on Dynamis.

If people would play their Dynamis characters on Dynamis, queues would be far less of a problem than they are. Using PF for the slower queues (other than Alliance raid or PvP), works wonders.

To get my roulettes and moogle tomes done in a normal amount of time. I don't have the time to sit in queue for 45 minutes per roulette or alliance raid queue to do a FOMO event like moogle tomes. Not when it's an instant pop on any other data center.
It's where I draw the line. If I can't finish events reasonably and start missing out on limited time items because my server isn't populated enough I'm traveling.

It's just a fact of Dynamis that there is no community or people in queue, so you have to choose retainers, IS, house or 4/8 man content at any given time. Can't do both or do IS while waiting because that queue will never pop.

There is community. It's just not as large as it is on other data centers. Sticking around to be part of it would make it bigger.

There are people in queue. The queue might be longer than other data centers but being flexible with what job you're willing to use can help.

Now if all you're after are the moogle tomestones, then sure go to another data center for the quicker queues.

But it helps to remember that communities form because people choose to help create them. As the saying goes "be the change you want to see".
