What are you going off data center to do?

To get my roulettes and moogle tomes done in a normal amount of time. I don't have the time to sit in queue for 45 minutes per roulette or alliance raid queue to do a FOMO event like moogle tomes. Not when it's an instant pop on any other data center.
It's where I draw the line. If I can't finish events reasonably and start missing out on limited time items because my server isn't populated enough I'm traveling.

It's just a fact of Dynamis that there is no community or people in queue, so you have to choose retainers, IS, house or 4/8 man content at any given time. Can't do both or do IS while waiting because that queue will never pop.

There is community. It's just not as large as it is on other data centers. Sticking around to be part of it would make it bigger.

There are people in queue. The queue might be longer than other data centers but being flexible with what job you're willing to use can help.

Now if all you're after are the moogle tomestones, then sure go to another data center for the quicker queues.

But it helps to remember that communities form because people choose to help create them. As the saying goes "be the change you want to see".

90% wanted a lottery solution and that is what you got, there is no way you can complain about it, it rules out botting entirely, as that is said, everyone got a fair chance, and you don't need to bash your health by clicking for 72 hours in a row.

And there is plenty of housing available on most servers RIGHT now and often medium/larges pop up as a bonus as well.

Of course there are better ways, it's just that most people are shortsighted and intellectually lazy and thought that a lottery system would be "fair" but didn't stop to think that it would cause entirely new problems without solving the actual problems underlying the housing system: there is a rigid maximum supply. The devs could fix this easily, they've just chosen not to. They have deliberately created and maintained this artificial scarcity and the lottery system just makes the whole thing even worse for the player experience. Just you wait, there will be "P2W"/microtransaction plots soon enough, because there'll be people that are happy to just pay real money for it. That's the ecosystem that is being created here.
