Joining a Savage Run Just for the Skip and Dropping Has Become Problematic

During the final raid tier of Pandemonium in particular, I've been noticing a lot more players joining post P9S groups for the skip and then dropping immediately after instancing into the raid. What makes it worst is that the handful of players that have done this in my groups had the nerve to say " Thanks for the skip =p " right before dropping out.

Does anyone else feel like there should be a little more retribution other than just BL and reporting those players who waste the time of serious party members?

I feel there should be some kind of time limit before a person should be able to leave a PF Savage Raid Finder Instance. If a player tries to pull that stunt, they should risk a lengthy lock out period, or even forfeiting loot for the rest of the week until the reset.

If someone in the party needs to leave beforehand for any reason, I feel utilizing "Vote Abandon" should be the opt-out. That way it's a party consensus and then the group can leave without being penalized, versus one or two players joining a pre-formed group and wasting everyone's time just so they can help themselves or their statics skip raids.

    Thoughts?

Or the developers can just fix the issue ? Hmm ? Just allow people to queue directly for any floor after week 1/after you cleared it, there you go

I like the 'after you cleared it' idea. Mandate that characters complete it sequentially once, and then just unlock it. It's fun to fight upwards through a tier the first time through due to the narrative and gradual increase in tuning, but after the pleasure of the initial kills it certainly feels like a pointless obstruction.

Seems a strange issue to allow, granted it also speaks volumes about people wasting other's time in PFs like that tbh.

Putting a PF up as 7 and requesting a skip has always worked well the times I've done it (Helped a static with P4S that would do that weekly, was never a problem and generally took no more than a couple of minutes).

And if you still need drops from a given floor there's incentive to keep running it so there would still be reasons for statics or PF groups to continue tackling the content. The time limit the OP mentioned could also help without unlocking the floors right away, given how long Savage PF can take to fill up sometimes.

And that's just awful behavior, OP. I've been my static's 9s reclear person once we didn't need anything from it while we've been working on 10s. I have time after work and before raid to join a party and get the clear. I'd never do this to a 10s PF trying to get some practice and prog in. I couldn't clear 9s for us this week so my static did a 7/8 PF requesting a skip and it worked fine.

Sometimes my group skips because already gear and only want final floor weapons BUT we make a 7/8 and ask for a skip not join a 7/8
