I think they should fix this problem by requiring more healing in all content, but especially in the type of content I do, which is the easy stuff. Healers have a ton of tools in roulette content. There is room where they can make it a little bit harder without tipping the balance to too hard.

I'm sure they can figure something out but the best way to do this would be to make some boss attacks that are unavoidable and unmitigatable. Then give those attacks a recognizable telegraph. Tanks get this for tank busters, there should be a "healer buster" too where it clearly telegraphs that you need to do big heals now.

We have a few of these like bleeding damage or the triple stack marker, but I think we could use at least one more that would require some sustained single target or aoe healing. To me it sounds really fun to be required to cast some healing skills back to back sometimes (not all the time), rather than just one global skill or one ogcd occasionally. They should also require Esuna a little bit more than they do.

DPS players switch between an AOE and single target rotation. They have to interrupt or stun sometimes. There is no reason healers can't have the same where they switch between a simple DPS rotation to a healing rotation when they need to sustain healer, with an occasional cleanse.

This wouldn't be impossible to implement, they just have to want to. They could balance it for players like me and the more hardcore. To me people asking for more complex DPS rotations on healers is a sign that they are failing on the healing gameplay. I personally wish they would improve that, because that's what makes the healing role distinct.
