Blame that . . . on whoever designed the numbers. But then again, healer potencies seem to be an afterthought always.
Makes you wonder doesn't it, did the person who did these potency values know they were giving Medica 2 Addicts the key to vindication for their gameplay style? Was it an intentional decision by SE that Medica 2 should be not only equal in MP costs to Cure 2, but also 200p total more healing even on a single target? Or was it entirely coincidence? (the same is 'almost' true with Asp.Helios and Benefic 2, Benefic2 gets to be 100MP cheaper than AspHelios, but still 200p less healing)

Either way, since Medica 2 is equal to Medica 1 after just one tick, and with the info about how strong it is compared to Cure 2... What justification is there in keeping Cure 1 and Medica 1 as separate binds, instead of having them upgrade to their 2 forms and using the newly freed hotbar space on 'actually interesting tools'? At least Cure 3 has a niche, of 'I need burst healing right now and I'm willing to pay any amount of MP to get it'. Hell, at this point why not just buff Medica 2's ticks by another 100p, and make it 1500 so they can powercreep Regen out of the game too while they're at it /s
