Uhhhh. Completely independent of the subject matter in this thread and however many alts a person does or does not have, toxic casualism is actually a thing. And it has been killing games off for a while now, my dude.
You're not going to get a response from a GM unless its absolutely needed. I have gotten one response and that was from a reporting someone during a roulette harrassment. Everyone in that group reported and some of them got responses. But its frontline and of course if you don't want to participate thats you. you can always disable the effects i believe in the future. People want to win, regardless if you don't play or not, the matches for the most part take at lest 12 minujtes. why settle for bare minimum when you 1.5 or is it 1.75 times the amount of xp and such thats the mind set and not only that if its seal rock, expect it more because there are glamours locked behind the wins. Just like if you don't play in frontlines people will report you as well. its no win situation with this community when it comes to pvp.About an hour ago I was in a game of Frontline and we had a player who was spamming macro and sound effects. Multiple plays asked them to stop and they refused, we had a couple of instigators as well but in the grand scheme of things they are not as important. The moment I got out I reported the offending player for the spam so now I'm just stuck wondering if I should wait or go about my day as normal. In my 2 and half years of playing, I've never reported someone before so this is all new to me. We ended up losing the match because the sound effect spam distracted all of us and a few others in the match said they would report the offending player as well. I did leave extra comments detailing a bit more in the initial report but I'm not sure if they will still ask for more details. The only other time I know someone reported another player was when I was with a friend the GMs responded as soon as he submitted the report.
Additional information: Some people seem to think I'm complaining about regular callouts during pvp, but that is not the case. I can handle callouts, what I can't handle is someone who spammed sounds effect macros 20+ TIMES in quick succession because one toxic player seems to think they are in control of the entire match and is bitter the rest of the team isn't doing exactly what they want them to do. Note Red boxes are spam, and gray boxes are other players who didn't spam. Orange are the instigators and the green is an unrelated fc member logging out

Edit: I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this type of post but when I tried posting in the support threads the forum kept saying it wasn't allowed.
You may as well go about your normal day now.The main difference between now and then was when my friend sent in his report we were both playing on Tonberry during off hours, since then I have moved over to NA for personal reasons.
I know I won't get a response about what happened to the pvp tryhard if anything but wanting to know if I should go about my day or wait is what I was asking about overall. Thanks for the help in this.
You said you've since transferred your character to NA and each region has it's own GM team. They're not likely to reach out to you cross region for something that doesn't require additional information from you. Transferring the character probably made them mark your report as "issue resolved" even if your reason for transferring is not related. If you're no longer on the same data center, the player can no longer bother you.
Or, you know, people could just follow the g’damn rules.
List of Prohibited Activities
◆Obstruction of play
"Obstruction of play" refers to all behavior in general that obstructs another person's gameplay. Below is a non-exhaustive list of examples of obstruction of play:
・Spamming
Refers to using chat (including Quick Chat in PvP content and emotes) to obstruct the gameplay of others.
Key Points
The key point to consider is whether or not the behavior is obstructing another person's gameplay. While the intention may have not been to cause an obstruction, if the situation interferes with the communication of other players then it can be determined as a prohibited activity. If a report has been filed and the prohibited activity is confirmed, a penalty will be issued.
For example, in large-scale content such as alliance raids or PvP, in order to ensure smooth progress, a player may present a general course of action to the entire group, and the other players may agree to it and act accordingly. In such a case, when the progress of the content does not go as intended there may be a chance the player becomes frustrated and spams the chat with unnecessary lines of text telling other players what to do even if it was already discussed. This deviates from the original intention of the chat and could be considered as a situation that interferes with the communication of other players.
Please note that Square Enix may issue a penalty in its discretion even if a report has not been filed but the act was found being conducted in public areas such as Say and Shout, in towns/cities/field areas, or online video/streaming services.
