Until a raid out gears a Savage fight healer dps is needed. Even after it out gears the fight the healers twiddling their thumbs is not a good look.

Every single word that leaves your disingenuous tongue makes me want to go bite a rock. The Healer dps issue seems to only be an issue for vets. Most players seem content with healers not having a lot of DPS things they have to juggle alongside healing and mechanics.
Besides, if they want that style then there's always Sage.
No reason to rock the boat just to appease some vets at the cost of the majority. Which we know that is the case considering that the easiest healers are the ones that are played the most.
Don't really care what the devs say on the matter. Healer not contributing to DPS and unwilling to cooperate when asked to = time to find a replacement. Perhaps even with an actual DPS if the remaining healer is up to the task of solo healing.
Actually I would say it's more a pride thing. Look at how long it took for them to change living dead to being a useful invuln despite 9 years of people asking, increasing asylum's radius from hw to Shb after Sacred Soil became the better of the two, or them overlooking Aero 2 potency change back in 6.1. Heck, look at the changes in 6.1 most of those mp changes to help healers at the lower levels were mostly the cost on the offensive spells with the exception of regen meaning it would be more mp efficient to use your atttacks rather than your heals.
i mean isnt it the same with their opinion about healers HAVE to be magical? and with the casters cant wear metal so lets only give them robes.
they seem to have that stance on several things and they are very slow and unwilling to change these things
And even in the very rare case they do let healers wear metal (laws order is the only class specific example I can think of) they have to add a frilly dress extension to it just so you don’t forget you are a healer and healers wear robes
Considering what they've created with sage and pvp, yes they want healers to be offensive, no matter what yoship said back then.
And I sure hope the 6.1 pvp has shown them what needs to be done for healers, as it's an excellent and much more thoughtful direction with clear identities for each job.
No I agree they don't want healers to be more offensive. They just haven't faced the reality that unless you give healers something else to do (buffing, debuffing, cc cleansing, more healing) they're going to be more offensive because that's all a healer's kit is.Considering what they've created with sage and pvp, yes they want healers to be offensive, no matter what yoship said back then.

They also haven't faced the reality that take our healing kit away (say in a SOLO instance where all anyone really needs is Second Wind) our kit is depressingly boring which is what it looks at when a healer gets good.
I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

Can we please stop with this misconception that Sage is dps focused healer? It's complete nonsense.
Let's go through Sage's dps skills: Eukrasian Dosis (the DoT), Dosis, Phlegma (every 40 seconds), Toxicon (a movement tool), Dyskrasia (AoE), Pneuma (every 120 seconds).
Now let's check White Mage, the stereotypical healer's healer: Dia (the DoT), Glare, Assize (every 40 seconds), Holy (AoE), Afflatus Misery (technically every 60 seconds).
Sage has a whopping 1 extra dps skill and it is just a movement tool. Pneuma does damage but since it's the same as Dosis you will never use it for dps, it's simply a GCD heal that isn't a dps loss.
While Afflatus Misery seems to just exist to make up for the dps loss from using Lily spells it however can actually be a dps gain if the fight has downtime in which you can spend lilies.
Sage is not the "DPS healer™", it's just the healer that loses out on free healing when they're not spamming their Glare equivalent. It's basically SCH, but your fairy does nothing if you're not casting Dosis.

Yes sage IS the dps healer, it's been from the start. The problem is that also from the start, it received the same scholar copy pasta in the end. See the contradiction ?
See pvp for sage's true design
