Not an FC thing, but the only thing I can think of that requires joining a premade discord for is Baldesion Arsenal. Though idk who's gonna stop me from just queueing up and joining on my own.

As somebody who has been around about a year I will say he's probably referring to FC when he means static because as many you know if you came from world of Warcraft most raiding in that game is done through guild and you need a guild that meets your requirements to progress where is this game it's a little bit different at as your statics generally aren't FC and you have a pretty healthy pug/pf system in this game. Though I will say getting raiding as somebody that doesn't want to go through pf is a challenge if you're new because a lot of the statics tend to use logs and add-ons to judge members or want somebody with experience and if you don't have that you're pretty much stuck in pf, or not doing the content. I myself decided to forgo the content because I couldn't find a static that would take my friends and me being we're very green and we decided just to try to progress criterion since it only requires four and it's supposed to be difficult content (please give better rewards in 7.0)

So how much of WoW do i need to play to correctly understand posts by players that don't bother expressing themselves well? I'm sorry but i never played WoW.
Will put you on ignore if you can't form a logical argument but argue nonetheless
That's understandable it wasn't for everybody but it was the most popular MMO at one point so I assume at some point majority have played it. Basically all you would have to do is probably play a week maybe two you would understand because wow's leveling is pretty trivial you can do it fairly quickly if you hit it hard. And then once you get there it's just the process of gearing and getting into a raid which like I said most raids go through their own guild or FC as ffxiv calls it.

Thank you for your help. I don't actually have any interest in WoW though (^.^')
I just think i shouldn't need that to understand a FFXIV forum post. I mean i don't say "agi" to fire spells just because i played Persona and SMT games. I don't mind the OP's original post but the attitude that everyone should have understood that. On top of that people have pointed out (and missunderstood) that there is FC only content - the submarine and airship missions

He did have a little bit of attitude but I'm guessing he's probably newer doesn't understand some of the lingo or hasn't adjusted fully yet. I mean I still call FC guilds constantly because it's an old habit. He's probably just frustrated and you know how it is usually when people are mad they'll come to the forums to vent some of that anger while not fully being aware of some thingThank you for your help. The feedback is meant for the devs. Arguing with people on any video game forums forums is like kicking dirt as people have doubled down their opinions due to sunk cost fallacy. People will try to assume things about you or say you didn't want to play a mode really or just straight up say the opposite. I have zero tolerance for that as it's a mental gymnastics loop people have.He did have a little bit of attitude but I'm guessing he's probably newer doesn't understand some of the lingo or hasn't adjusted fully yet. Good luck with that.
Devs don't read forums.
The only mental gymnastics i saw here was calling Raids and Dungeons "FC-only" content but whatever.

You are WAY barking up the wrong tree for THAT.
You'll have to get a new email adress from a company in japan, and then create a new forum account using that email adress, buying a new trial edition and joining a JP server.
Then you'll have to post in the JP language servers, with an authentic JP style name and account.
Only then will you have any chance of your post being actually read by an actual dev.
They don't come to the "English" side at all, ever.
And if you post in the JP section after having anything to do with the english speaking parts at all, you'll end up ignored.
That would be bad if true.
I just want an in-depth survey to fill on what I do and don't like and how I would feel about specific changes.
Wrapping back to the initial issue:
You will not find me caring about ilvl if it's timegated. That means any hard content is offlimits as soon as I need to go through other people to progress. If you want me feeling meaning out of it, then you have to respect letting the grind happen.
At minimum, they need to find some way then to allow makeups for missed weeks, because quitting and coming back and then being told to follow the subscription lengthening dragging of ilvl late after everyone else is a turnoff.Raid tiers in this game are 'current' for a long time; something like 8 months. How do we handle tuning when there are 32+ weeks of item level increments?
If you maintained the games current tight tuning, you'd end up with a bunch of incremental gains that are so small they are essentially meaningless.
If you altered the tuning to make incremental power gains meaningful, don't you think you'd run the risk of mass alienating the existing playerbase?
There are also modifications like rewarding participation with cosmetics and mounts later in the season, separate from ilvl, that would retain interest.
Additionally, as was said earlier
