Realistically, what are the odds we'll see an item number increase?

Obviously, if resources were unlimited, he'd let us put a few million items in there for all he cares, but they're not. Do you think this will actually happen?

I’d like to hope so… we did finally get more glamour dresser space and a few extra plates! I’d like to see it at least doubled across the board, indoor & outdoor item limits, including apartments. But I’m a dreamer… lol

Interior? Yes, probably 7.1 since they seem to do most major housing updates in the .1 patch cycle.

Exterior? It would be nice but I won't bet on it.

It should come in 7.0 somewhere, but I could be wrong, I hope they devide housing up so inside it has instances.. so large could have 800 items downstairs and 800 items upstairs divided into two instances inside or something could be nice though, and maybe be something to not bother the item limit too much.

That would be nice to have as an option. Personally, 800 total for a mansion is enough for me, so I'd rather just keep my one instance.

I'd say very likely - they seem to be prone to 2 major housing changes per Xpack. I think its unlikely we see a new district added - but if Player growth continues as WoW winds down we might see more wards added too entice WoW players coming to FF to lay down roots.

We don't need an item number increase, considering how undecorated most houses are. Assuming people actually care about decorating the houses they buy, bump the capacity for Large houses since 400 is a stupid number for the space. Remove the ugly interior that everyone spends 40+ items walling off anyway. Theres your item number increase.

If in the extreme remote chance ever comes, they will pull the usual "barely noticeable" increase and it wont make enough of a difference.
My home has been 1/2 filled for YEARS.

Unfortunately they ignored requests long enough that I have 0 faith, it's too late,. The joy of it, has simply been ignored too long.

So many of us have been waiting for that increase since day ONE of housing.

I have asked on the forums many times and through in-game suggestions thousands of times.

For someone who's had their forum account for a long time, you seem to have forgotten that item limits were doubled back in Stormblood.

Or have you forgotten what large houses looked like when the interior limit was only 200 and the majority of the available furnishings were the Glade/Riviera/Oasis themed items? I can remember it.

Can you remember when having a large number of interactive items placed (even though the limit was only 30 per house) caused other furnishings to appear/disappear as you moved around? I can remember this as well.

I'm not going to claim that what increase they give us will be "enough" (there's no such thing as enough for some players) but it will be better than no increase at all.

The item limit is punishing and I would definitely love to see an increase but I actually enjoy the push for creativity in it. If your house is "empty" than you need to fundamentally rethink your design to make use of the space and the item limit in a more pleasant way. The other option is to cut off space and a lot of people prefer to design smaller but for me personally it's fun to try and maximize the spaces I'm given to tell a more immersive story. The struggle is what makes it worthwhile to accomplish a really cool build and I enjoy that sense of satisfaction afterwards. I've been lucky enough to have a chance to decorate every size of home available and the challenge of a full floor plan is always exciting.
