You haven't run into the bots that wait for someone else to activate a quest area that spawns mobs and then spawns theirs from underground so the real player gets swamped with 50 mobs?
I've been seeing this a LOT in low zones lately
If there are 50 mobs spawning, it's because there are 50 bots stacked one on top of the other underground.
They're not waiting for someone to show up, they're just following their script. Real players don't exist for them.
It can be quite fun to pull the mobs away from the spawn point to the top of a rock or another location where LoS prevents the bots from attacking (any real player could still attack so it wouldn't be a problem). The Daniffen Pass (with the spawned Mudpuppy quest) is a good spot - you can force the bots out from underground but they'll stay in the water where they still can't hit the mudpuppy.
OK, I see how this is an actual issue that needs to be fixed ASAP... but also the scenario seems HILARIOUS to me
The first time it happened, I laughed after I survived it.
The 5th time in 3 days it kinda stopped being funny and started being annoying.
Knowing there were a couple of other people working through the same questing area I switched to my main so I could help them get through without getting killed.
