Producer and director "you're on a vacation but you can't go in the water"

Let's add a new town hub full of water but prevent players from diving into the water.
GW2 on the other hand has allowed you to dip your toes in any body of water since its launch; whether in towns or not.

Again I ask, outside of msq what is cbu3 good at? Such a basic feature should be a baseline feature. Even in old realm reborn/heavensward maps they should let you swim on water.

We have to get beyond his PR speak, this game's stagnating.

They're just been carried right now by the nightclubs and mods players. Without which this game won't really have that many players around.

I hope they change their mind on this. I remember when Rhalgr's Reach had that nice area to swim in and I used to hang out there all the time. They really dialed back on swimming in Endwalker which was disappointing to see. But to not have a place to swim in the new hub flat out SUCKS.

Have you ever smelled the water in a busy harbor? You really wouldn't want to go swimming there.

When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.

Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.

I agree with you but this is a game that already lacks a lot in exploration department. It’s total void.
Swimming and discovering hidden places and treasures would have been interesting but they can’t be bothered with the lands so imagine underwater exploration…

There aren't a lot of places in Endwalker where it's logical to swim.

We get a nice big ocean area in Thavnair, which is the only place where it really makes sense. Sharlayan's main harbour doesn't sound like a sensible swimming spot, and the other zones don't feel like places that I'd want to swim.

The only place in Endwalker where I ever thought "I want to swim here but can't" is the unique zone created for the Zone 6 gathering tribe quests. They could have made it a practical thing with spearfishing nodes or something, but really just an excuse to put a big lake in there.

Also, while it's not the most exciting of locations, they've gone back and added swimming to Bronze Lake in La Noscea so they may be working on upgrading other areas too. (Surely diving in Costa del Sol would have to become a thing sooner or later?)

As for Dawntrail, I think they said in the keynote that we will be getting some nice places where we can swim.

Look, I love video game water. If I see it, I want to swim in it. (I blame Destiny Islands from KH1 for instilling that in me.) If an invisible wall keeps me from pretty water, I will go feral.
When I saw it snowing in Sharlayan I was a bit less salty about not being able to swim in the harbor or the rivers going through town because I suppose it would have been "too cold for that", whatever.

But then there's a spot in Garlemald - freaking GARLEMALD - where you can swim. Not dive, granted, but the fact that I was able to go in the water without an invisible wall stopping me there blew my mind and consequently gave me the mindset of, "if I can swim here, then there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to anywhere else". So now I'm looking pointedly at that pretty spring in Coerthas Western Highlands.

There were a few swimming spots in UT which were neat to have. Not overly practical, but I appreciate them being there all the same. The water biome in Elpis should have had some deeper swimming spots there instead of having the audacity of being entirely ankle deep. That green stuff on the moon that you fish from? I don't know what that is but I still would have liked to swim in it. If not there then the Lopporitts could have made a proper pool.

Like... not every spot has to have diving cause I get they essentially have to make another "zone" for that, but... just let us swim.

Is this about Sharlayan ? Have to say swimming there never even crossed my mind. That said, hope we get more of it and diving in Dawntrail. We have the 'forever breath underwater' mcguffin. Lets use it more!
