Maybe I'm really lucky but I haven't run into any bugs in FFXIV that I can remember. Meanwhile in ESO people couldn't block (a basic combat function) for months.

I still play to occasionally do harder content with friends. I'm playing other games with the remainder of my time. I already have the Necromancer title. I don't enjoy FATE grinding. I have my house and apartment decorated. I come back for a few weeks around major patch drops, but this game doesn't make content with a lot of longevity for me anymore.
FFXIV just has the most terribly-designed healers I've ever seen in a video game, and their stated design direction for all of the jobs doesn't look much brighter. I'm not here to complain about the periphery; I think this game's PVE design for combat jobs is an embarrassing blight on an otherwise alright game, and their absolute refusal to hire more designers, inject some creativity, or design jobs (not named Black Mage) for anyone who has more than six brain cells or whines incessantly that having any skill expression in combat is too haaaaaarrrrrrrd is a direction I'll rail against for as long as railing against it entertains me.

Basic human behaviour : people don't go saying "ho this is good" when thing go good. They do complain when things go bad, though. It's simple as that.
You don't go telling your electricity provider or your bus company they does a good job, you only get to them when things went wrong.
Positive talk about a service will rather be found in social interaction with people closer to you, like when you try to convince someone to try the game. Not with people that all already bought the game. There is no need to tell them what's good, they know.
Here we're on an official platform, of course you'll mostly get complaints. It should be the place where negative feedback is taken from. That's one of the point of an official forum, collect feedback on what doesn't work. There is no need to give feedback about something that works well. Not complaining about it gives all the feedback they need.
You want to discuss something positive on the forum, do a thread about something positive, not complain that people are not positive enough in a complain thread.
People complain because they care about the game, have invested a lot of time in it, and don't like it taking ways that seem questionnable.
(Then there are the trolls, but that's different)

Do I overall dislike the game? Yes. But there are things I like about it: combat and jobs being foremost among them, but I have also enjoyed the story writing (as opposed to the storytelling) in the past, and I love the art direction and callbacks to previous FF titles. With a major overhaul that saw the tearing down of a lot of this game's content partitions (Why do fishing and diadem have to be instanced? Why can't there be open-world dungeons?) and a revamp of the MSQ (for starters: make it playable in coop, make it more interactive) this game could be really be something great. At the moment, though, I find very little joy in the game, but I pay my sub so that I can occasionally jump back in and join my gf when she unlocks a new dungeon after sitting through 10+ hours of visual novel.
Posting negative feedback here and in other fora is, I'll admit, sometimes just an effort to achieve some catharsis through venting. But mostly it's because I am still very attached to this game and fervently wish that it would do something to innovate on a formula that has, for me, grown very stale.
WHAT THE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the most disappointing thread I think I have ever seen here on this site. The man posts a neat and tidy questionnaire and only like two people actually answered it-maybe more did, but if they did, then they didnt bother to use the same format exampled and so its just a steaming pile of no-one-cares because if I wanted to read a brickwall, I'd go outside and do that!!!! Sigh

"Imagine getting THAT worked up and defensive over formatting. Like?? Did these people have careers?? Families?? What critical thing was missing from their lives that they took it that seriously-because something for sure was wrong with them. Others have probably said it, but I'll say it too."WHAT THE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the most disappointing thread I think I have ever seen here on this site. I'm not a big fan of the direction that PvE content is currently taking, that's why I keep posting to help others get heard instead of being drowned by "X is fiiiine".
I would probably play more if they extended the rewards of PvP content, which I enjoy despite its issues. CC and Mahjong are great fun.

I’m a big doom poster on the forums and I don’t attempt to hide it
Why do I doompost- well I’m a legacy player and I’ve seen every iteration this game has gone through and I don’t like the direction it’s going in at all, greater focus on mogstation, dumbed down combat, we haven’t had a creative raid since Midas, content schedule going down the toilet, lack of exploration zone. I still want to play 14 but 14 gives me nothing to plan, if there was actually any content I’d probably be doomposting less because I would be actually playing
Think, I personally think that deep dungeons are a bit too niche to be the lynchpin on an expansion but let’s say EO was a massive success for theoretical purposes; EO was released 8 months ago, and they have given us literally nothing since then, that is a terrible patch cycle, hell legacy had better patch cycles than currently, oh also on legacy they need to look at what they did with dalamud as a framework for how to do world events, a jump tower is not a world event; dalamud was a world event and was hella fun to experience it as it was happening
So yes bad content cycle, lack of content, poor job design decisions, I still enjoy it for a few specific things (BA my one true love) but definitely reaching the end of my tether

No Storm/Koros/Night?
I was genuinely curious to see their responses.
