You should go back to WoW, its an established MMO with lots of content. You can be level capped in 2 weeks, and have both your primary and secondary crafting skills capped a couple days after that. Instant gratification... Yes,that seems to be what you expect. Plus they did the great reset, so all that gear you worked so hard for is now obsolete crap that any noob can exceed in the first cataclysm dungeon. Come back to this one after its first expansion pack, there will be plenty to do then.
ok really vix... this isn't cool. Really why are ppl bashing this guy >.> like this. This isn't how the ffxi/ffxiv community should be like.

What do you expect... He posts a thread in the general forum saying the game sucks because he couldn't read the manual. At least 2/3 of the problems he has are explained in either the manual or in the tutorials on lodestone.

But still, people shouldn't be so harsh with him since he's just ranting because he is upset and not trolling.

no excuse to bash ppl. I felt the same way about WoW. And WoW isn't known for having a helpful community. Nor is Aion.

I didn't like the apporoch but he did sau sprry a few times about it. He is just not used to it. I raged quit a few games when I first cot them cuz the controls even after reading them were hard to do. Like ff12 gambit system in getting the npc to do what you needed or dragon age origins strat set up.
please don't male excuses for pointless bullying ffxi was known as a helpful community, lets have it be the same for ffxiv. We kinda need to get ppl to play the game showing a bit of kindness goes a long whay into doing that.

In the interview with Zam, Yoshida-san talks about how he doesn't want the player to feel when they first enter the world as "stressful." Now it pleased me very much that he used this particular word because that was exactly what I felt when I got the CE an logged on back in sept. I quit in 3 weeks because of horrible lag, no real directives on what to do or can be done and just a general feeling of the game besting my intellect with the sometimes anger provoking UI.
After awhile I picked it back up in Feb because I would rather be a part of the solution as a resource of input rather than complaints to SE and I thought with all the level of new open communication that this game can be more than what it is and was.
Although it still has a long way to go I know I can trust that the team are working their hardest to make this game the champion it was meant to be. Albeit the stream of information on the things that will give us hope for staying or coming back is at a trickle, but it has been one heck of a month for them in Japan.

I agree with what your saying, games should be fun. But also games do come with instruction manuels with at least basic control ley outs. I can see if you read the controls but still find it hard, thats imo is understandable. But to just jump in and expect to master the game the second you log in is a bit of a folly.

I'm a big time gamer but everyone new game I get It can take a bit to learn the controls. I always read/skim the book just for a basic understanding. Then I play the game and learn by doing. the ffxi tutorial was imo vety good. It was very informnative, fun yo do, and got rewarded for it. It was also just a text back, and were expected to know at least the basic controls. Which again are in the manual.

lol! yeah Lynn's a bit lawless I'd say. It oddly enough works in those extreme balances of good and bad like that lotto ticket (nice btw!), but it's got proximity to B-town and the most beautiful urban beaches in the northeast. Still not as bad as Lawrence where I had jury duty there with a 3 hour deliberation on a case that spanned over 2 days. O_O Why can't they give us jury duty somewhere nice for a change like Newburyport or Salem?

Exactly. I wasn't a master and that pissed me off lol. I'll admit. But when my interest started growing during my time off I put myself through FFxiv 101 for 2 months before I started again learning and reading about everything I could online and how to get past some of the little irksome quirks. I didn't forget the manual but it was rather vague in parts and heavily truncated :P I was more upset that a big leather book popped out of the CE box after I was done reading the manual and as I flipped the entire thing was blank! I thought it was a cruel joke at first.
