We need a way to conveniently exchange Poetics!

Allow an option to trade Allagan Tomestone of Poetics for items exchangeable for gil (e.g. Allagan Platinum/Gold/Silver/Bronze Pieces at an exchange rate of 1 Poetic per 20 gil). BTW, the rate is calculated based on 60/3 (for ARR 'Poetics' minions) and 10,000/500 (a reward for 9 added seals to Wondrous Tails). Historically speaking, a Demicrystal was also sellable to NPC vendors at the same rate. I wouldn't even mind a rate of 10 gil per Poetic if that what it takes to make this happen.

Where can we ask the game devs for such feature? This would save me hours upon hours of painstakingly spending excess Poetics!

I mean....take time to look at all what poetics can get you. There's items you can get from poetics that sell for alot. The grade 3 soil you can get in idyllshire come to mind.

Safe to say that SE is not about to make even more items valuable as vendor trash available through Poetics, especially not at your proposed rate. RMT loves that sort of thing.

In fact now that you've brought it up, I wouldn't be surprised if the sell to vendor price on those minions disappears in 6.5. They seem to be something that SE missed when they were killing sell to vendor prices back in Stormblood and Shadowbringers.

If you want a quick way to sell poetics that's almost as profitable, buy Unidentifiable Shell in Idyllshire then exchange it for Grade 3 Shroud Topsoil to sell on the marketboard. It sells pretty fast if you're listing at the going market rate. I don't know what prices are like on the EU worlds but here you're going to get 10-15 gil per Poetic spent.

Just make every Poetic earned while capped turn into gil. At a rate of 1 tomestone to 1 gil, or would that be too much earnings?

I wouldn't think so because it isn't raw Gil that gets generated from the server, but instead you still need to interact with the market, etc.,.

This is something that players underestimate the value of far, far too much. Go grab some poetics gear from Crystarium, trade that for company seals, and then you can either get Ventures, or other items and then sell those off. It's not an overly substantive amount of Gil, but passively over time the amount you can earn is really good.

I was joking a bit about how convoluted that route is, but seriously, marketboard sales ultimately funded by seals has been a steady source of gil. You don’t need to be doing big trades if you load up your retainers regularly (I load them up every week, more or less) with conveniently sized stacks of moderately priced crafting materials. They sell best and most consistently in my experience. Leveling roulette pays out a fat stack of seals for whatever role is needed. I have more than 300 ventures saved up and keep my retainers running while I run duties.

This problem will go away for some time after 7.0 comes out.

Level 90 Augmented Tomestone gear will switch to poetics giving many players plenty of gearsets/weapons to buy if they didn't grind capped tomestones and hunt marks (or raids) in 6.5/6.6. Also, the various Manderville weapon stages will all require poetics to some extent to finish them. That is a huge tomes sink that will last some time.
