I actually thought about the BIOS last night and updated it. I'm going to disable Afterburner and revert things to normal and see if it crashes. If it does I'll go back through downgrading settings and MSI afterburner again to see if the combo of new BIOS and power limiting/undervolting fixes it.

That link isn't DirectX. From the site it says, "This DirectX End-User Runtime does not change the version of DirectX, but does install a number of optional side-by-side technologies from the legacy DirectX SDK that are used by some older games." That made me think maybe it would help?

EDIT: I see this on that link, nevermind.

    Supported Operating Systems

Windows Server 2008, Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, Windows 7, Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Vista

Thank you for your assistance here.

My board is an ASUS Prime X570-P

BIOS update unfortunately didn't work. I've edited the original post with the new steps I took.

Updated BIOS and attempted to play with normal settings
    After BIOS update, tried the following;
    Drop settings from 3440x1440 (120hz) to 3440x1440 (60hz)
Undervolt again with MSI Afterburner with the above lowered settings
Lower power limit to 70% with MSI Afterburner with the above lowered settings

    All still crash.

Heya, please do not undervolt. Undervolting can cause crashes. With undervolting the hardware operates outside of the specification. Just set the powerlimit to 70%.

I did each of those things one at a time. So it still crashed with it set at 70% only.

Is there any chance part of my issues is that game files are different from config files?

    Example ->
The game files are on my SSID at
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

But I also have what look like boot and character files on my HD at
    D:\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

C:\ is my SSD, but I don't see a way to move the files on the D drive to the C:\ in the game or settings, so I assume just moving them would cause issues?

Is FFXIV the only game you're having problems with?
Could also be a wonky Direct X installation if not, which you could try to reinstall, all current windows has it installed automatically but..not sure how reliable that is, especially when changing hardware, that goes for all software lel. Just google and attempt it couldn't hurt tbh.

Yes, this is the only game. I regularly play these without issue
    COD Warzone
    APEX Legends
    Fortnite
    Valorant

I suppose I could try the DX. I also thought if it happens again I might just say F it and upgrade to W11 and see if that fixes it.

Attempted some more items today and edited original with them. I did not yet do Katish suggestions.
Ran game in DX9 (tried this before)
Went to the Launcher Settings and "Rest System Settings."
    Disabled XBOX Game Bar
    Downgraded Resolution from 3440x1440 (120hz) to 2560 x 1080 (120hz)

What also might help is to set the PCIE-Slot to PCIE 3.0. The X570-Chipset had some issues with PCIE 4.0 in the past.

And install chipset drivers if it is not done:

I am not certain yet, but I may have fixed it.

I first did a complete a total uninstall of the game. I then deleted the game files in My Documents on my second HDD.
Then, I disabled my second HDD, and attempted to reinstall.
I got an error that said the Documents folder didn't have 2gb of space. This was indicating to me that the game was looking for a documents folder that couldn't be found. I realize it's because my PC was telling it to find the Documents folder on the disabled hard drive.
Re-creating the Documents folder on the C drive manually didn't work, so I followed these instructions to edit my registry. https://www.thewindowsclub.com/cant-...-same-location
OneDrive was still wreaking havoc because it really wanted that Documents folder to be on my D drive. So I uninstalled OneDrive, and the FFXIV install started.
Booted up for about 5 hours today, with zero crashes.

So now, I need to slowly start reintroducing things to see if it starts to crash again. I played for several hours today with zero crashes, and will attempt some more tomorrow. If that works I'll take these reintroduction steps

Boot PC and let Antivirus and other background processes start. If no crashes...
Re-enable Hard Drive. If no crashes...
Reinstall OneDrive - and make sure it doesn't F with the Documents folder in it's new location.

It will probably take me several days of doing those 1 at a time and putting in the playtime to install confidence that it' fixed, but early signs are good.
