Of course it aint failing finance wise, have you seen the mog shop ? The prices are increasing more and more and stuff is put on there more and more regularly, so of course their finances have no issues, they make up for the player losses with more mog shop items.

It's gaining players, too. At every step of the way, FFXIV has continued increasing the size of its playerbase with each successive expansion compared to prior ones. For example, if you look at the active playerbase at Patch 2.4, Patch 3.4, Patch 4.4, etc., there's a steady increase, with EW featuring the highest population to date.

If they paid attention to twitter, they'd know that their game only gets attention thanks to gposers that are using heavily modded characters, not for any of the content they put out, but I guess that's the image they want to have to new players ?
