    Sound completely cutting out.

Hello! I just wanted to ask if anyone else has had this issue recently/as of latest patch.
Today, in the middle of a dungeon my game's audio completely cut out. This has never happened to me before and I've been playing this game for a number of years. Sound on other applications/windows was working. The dungeon was Ktisis Hyperboreia and this happened right after leaving the first boss room if that matters. I was not repeatedly alt tabbing from the game either as I know that can cause issues sometimes.

I use headphones that I plug in directly to the laptop. Unplugging/replugging them in did not solve the issue. I had to completely restart the game to restore audio. I have an Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 Laptop with Windows 11. I've been using it for over half a year now with no issue and I made sure my drivers were updated.

Just trying to figure out if it is an issue on my end or an issue with the game. Thank you! :)

Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Please try the following:
    - Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card and sound drivers (if applicable).
    - Please try lowering the resolution.
    - Please try running the game as an administrator.
    - Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything.
    - Please be sure that Final Fantasy XIV is installed to the C: Drive.
    - Please be sure to disable or remove any overlays (Discord, Steam, NVIDIA etc.) as they may interfere with startup.
    - Make sure that the Windows OS is fully updated.
    - Install game on different drive. (If Steam version, make sure game and Steam are installed on same drive)
    - Reinstall game (If steam version, try uninstalling and reinstalling both the game and steam)
    - Verify installation files (Steam)

Thank you once again for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!
