No more land may be purchased on this world

We tried to bid on a large plot yesterday and one of our FC members got the following message.

No more land may be purchased on this world by characters attached to this service account.

The problem is they have never owned or even bid on a plot on our world before. In fact, the only time they ever owned a plot was back in Stormblood, but it was on a different server and for an FC that no longer exists. Any idea what could be causing this?

Does he own a personal plot on any of his characters on that server?

Does the member realize that the limit doesn't just apply to their character in your FC but any other characters they also have on your home world?

If they have no other characters on your home world, then they should open a bug report.

Yes. She has three characters and all three are on our server, Malboro, and in the same FC. She said she does have two other characters on other servers but they're not even level 50 yet. And likely never will be. Anyway, she attempted to place a bid with the other two characters and it let one of them do it. She said that she doesn't really remember but that might be the character that she bought the house on back in SB. So maybe it was tagged as her main so to speak?

Yes. The character that buys the first house for a free company (not relocation) will permanently be flagged as the owner of that fc house. Leaving and rejoining will not change that. An fc house owner with access to the house they bought will only be able to bid to relocate that fc house. Fc bids on other characters on the same server are forbidden.

If the owner character is not in the fc the restrictions no longer apply. All characters on that server are able to bid on and claim fc plots as long as the owner is not a member of the fc they are flagged to.
