    FATE Chain Achievements in 7.0

With 7.0 hype starting to ramp up I wanted to just quickly make it known to the dev team that the FATE chain achievements within the Endwalker zones is deeply missed.
I love grinding FATEs, and the expansion of the bicoloured gemstones from Shadowbringers and the general exp boost FATEs got in Endwalker were very much appreciated. However the lack of sustained FATE chains in Endwalker made me quite sad, especially when they were so very good in Shadowbringers. Being able to follow NPCs around the zones to the next FATE in the chain was great! It makes the zones themselves feel much more alive. Sadly in Endwalker we only saw 2 achievement FATEs total (both tied to the currency dropping FATEs) and it feels like half of the chained FATEs kinda fizzle out early, some only being 2 FATEs long. I think the Elpis chain abruptly ends and you have to find the conclusion in some sidequests too.

I hope this is something that's addressed in Dawntrail. I would really like to see the return of the achievement FATE chains within each new zone.

I agree. While I don't do FATEs beyond what is necessary to open up the vendors in various zones, I did enjoy the FATE chains that gave an achievement. It was sort of an event where people from other servers would hop on and get credit. Something different, I guess. And given how sometimes it was a 15-30min wait between FATE chains, it wasn't necessarily common to see that chain run to completion. So, it was sort of rare. I'd like to see them do that again.

I want fates itslef to get strategic with extra scenarios in each fight. Like mobs straight on attacking black mage npc and if you save the mage it will nuke everyone helping you to fasten completion.

I would like to add the achievement chains also credited more opportunities for players to engage together as a community, whether it's to get their own achievement or help other players get theirs. Normal FATEs that can be easily solo'd are less likely to attract group activity, which many players miss in the open world outside of hunts.

The ShB fate chains were a reasonable medium to how the fate chain system work. I would agree with a similar system in the upcoming expansion.

Please yes. The ShB fate chains were my favorite by far, each telling a wonderful little story that endeared me to the characters.
Even now when I'm passing through those zones, if I see one of those fates active I'll often drop everything and go help the little fairy fight the frogs, or the Buns protect their forest.
I will say, it's a bit unfortunate that the Amh Araeng fate failed if no one helped him beat the first lot of spiders, which means it's only 'up' for a few minutes and thus rarely seen. Perhaps an activator would have helped with that, but nevermind.

I was very disappointed that these chains were missing in EW, which in addition to the EW fates rewarding more gemstone means I'm grinding these relatively plotless fates instead of the engaging ones in ShB.
Giving it some thought, I think the big appeal of the ShB fates over EW in general, were the NPCs who participated in the fights.
There's a sense of respect (and thus memorable) when fighting alongside someone who is clearly outclassed but fighting anyway. But if an NPC is standing back... I can't respect them, or worse, I'm just doing their chores.

I miss FATE chains. Actually I also miss the giant boss FATES... I don't mean the world bosses, just the harder than normal FATES that require several people to do and give an Orchestrion Roll or Minion.
