It's bizarre how many think that gaming revolves around mods.

I honestly don't get it, either. Never used mods. I get some people love the things, but even many who do don't play because of them. The entire console part of the playerbase literally CAN'T use them.

No, they're actively giving him advice because he's doing something wrong.

Calling someone bad and saying they shouldn't give advise to others is trolling/attacking them, not trying to help them.

Also, dude, I don't have Piety melded in any slots. I only put Quicktongue on things when Crit and Det are maxed out because I don't like Direct Hit on a HEALER and would rather have more throughput/quicker heals if I need them. I play exclusively PF, no static, meaning I have to make up for other people's mistakes far more often in a far more wonky skill pool where even a bit faster spell time can be useful. Moreover, I have no issues with MP regen and don't oom, so my SPS (all of THREE materia slots, the HORROR!!! /gasp) isn't detrimental. It's a DPS loss vs Direct Hit melds, but only a minor one, and the points make little difference. Besides which, Healer is the one role that actually does have flexibility with melds "to taste". And my "taste" is preferring slightly faster speed to slightly larger hits.

But tell me, since you're a master who has learned how to play: What would be the total change in my overall damage if I traded those three SPS Xs for DHit Xs? Do the math and tell me what the difference would be. 0.1%? 0.035%? 1 whole percent? What have you got?

(And so you know, materia melding is not "how to play the game"; at best it's an ancillary argument about "how to optimize", but has nothing to do with PLAY).

As to the gear, I gear as I get tomes over time for it, and I also gear three roles at the same time (Healer, Tank, and Caster). I don't raid (well, VERY rarely do), so I don't have tons of raid gear for those spots. Why would I have gear from content I don't do? That makes no sense. Making a question post on the Balance doesn't supply the player with raid pieces.

This happens to me most of the time. Even when I'm not being active in a thread I'm attacked in it. By the people who insist I am never attacked and never attacked unfairly. In a thread about third party tools, someone's going to armory pages to bash and insult players. Which is a pretty good argument for why third party tools are bad, too, since they only enhance that sort of harassment.

Something I've noticed here. There are some trolls and a few really bad trolls which seem to be the ringleaders here. If someone ever defends a person they've targeted for their bullying/harassment, then they immediately swap targets and pound that person into the dirt. In another thread, I was defending someone from a dogpile and the bullies doing it immediately swapped targets to me and have spend pages on pages continuing to pound me and not let it go (ironically, while telling me I just need to let it all go). And the person I was defending I guess ran off scared trying to get away.

It's absolutely schoolyard bully behavior. I'm glad you're sticking through it, though.

that is a wonderful take. so in your opinion, the reason its not allowed is because of the victims? you have claimed to be against bullying and harassment in any form, so reading you victim blaming is an interesting view on why they are banned. no mention at all of the bullying and harassment that they open up. are some too thin skinned? certainly, but you cant just conveniently ignore the other reasons just because you want to back up Koros

Apparently, Spell Speed on Healers isn't a sin that only people who don't know how to "play the game" do. Go figure.
