Nevermind the tail, but can somebody explain how mutilated Hrothgar's snout must be for them to wear the actual helm? Its like that closed helm Skyrim Khajiit thing all over again. It's Moren (in the quest In His Garden) that tells you at one point that he sometimes caught a glimpse of what must be a tail.
There's no reason at all to derive "wrapped it around his waist like a belt" from that, though – on the contrary, it suggests he simply had it concealed under his robes and sometimes failed to keep it where the fabric wouldn't drape over it.
It might be possible to keep a tail out of the way by curling it around a leg, but not around his waist – which in any case would create more of a conspicuous lump than simply hiding it in the loose space under the skirt of the robe.
Robe being the key part here, as it's a very different matter to supposedly hiding it under a skintight outfit like the Phoenix suit.

It's stuff like this that would make it so tempting to learn mods. Not for "Mare" (I have no idea why I put this in caps...it just feels right lol). But just because so many outfits come without tails and even ears now. How is it some random modder can put a tail out within a few hours and the actual devs can't? Same things with various modded hats I've seen around.
So frustrated, as someone who doesn't hate the game and previously called a White Knight on more than one occasion. Having minimal standards for a game we patron isn't being a hater.
Still dumbfounded people defend this as intentional design decisions. How about you actually design gear for all your fantasy races that half your playerbase uses?
As a Miqo'te player I also don't care what someone who fantasiad into a human because they don't like tails and their lallafell supporters think. And yes I am aware this issue makes me quite salty.

Unpopular opinion, but always when I played Miqo, I was happy when my tail was gone. I don't like this buggy tails and I always wished they would be optional.
I think that Miqo tails should be hidden in every heavy armor. Realistically, someone would wrap the tail around the waist rather than poke a hole in the armor. That would be a weak point and would also leave the tail extremely vulnerable. Aura tails look less soft and stronger. So maybe they would need some kind of extra tailarmor. P:
I also think, that the solution for Viera is better than if the headpiece wouldn't work in general, like it is with all the Makai suits and the Eureka relic helmets.
I like the glam more then most, but that does suck.
Logicly true, but such thinking rarely happens in fantasy games haha. Dissagree that they should be hidden, but I would be all for having an on/off tail option, or a choice to have one or not upon creation.Unpopular opinion, but always when I played Miqo, I was happy when my tail was gone. I also hate tails and think they are very ugly. It's why I don't play any of the tailed races. I personally also like it when gear chops off tails as it fits my taste better.Unpopular opinion, but always when I played Miqo, I was happy when my tail was gone. But I think all gear should be showing racial traits even if it clips horribly like they do with most gear. People like their tails and for many it's why they choose their race.
I would really love being able to mix and match from the different clans. Like I like Moonkeeper skintones way better than Seeker but I want the cat eyes. I would also love unlocked racial hair since I hate Au Ra but I like their hime cut.The choice would be nice. I hope for more customization in the future.
I always wonder when they show us this Miqochild, which has Seeker and Keeper features. For me this feels always like a slap right into the face. xD
It's like..., see what we can do! But you are not allowed! :')

Heavy armors that properly account for the tails would be more preferable to having them clip through everything or disapear but I guess thats a lot to ask of the small indie dev.

Yeah. They definitely didn't have gear like this in ARR, totally. The quality totally isn't dropping, guys!

Your solution is to fantasia to a Hyur, not to ruin the race for others with your complacency.Unpopular opinion, but always when I played Miqo, I was happy when my tail was gone. I don't like this buggy tails and I always wished they would be optional.

How would it ruin a race when we would have added more options in the character creation? Where would it ruin a race to make stuff more realistic?
I just said..., if I would be a Miqo right now, then I would be happy that the tail is gone. I also liked the fat cat hoodie a lot, because it has no tail.
Combined with the cap, I had also no ears. Yes, I would like to play male Hyr, but (my personal taste) they don't have good options. And now I am a Hyr female, because females have much much more better glamour then males, sadly. And I don't wanted to have animal features.
I tried Elezen at fist but even on minimum size I was really tall, and the long neck and the wide shoulders killed it for me in the long run.
I think, that every race is beautiful. It's all a matter of personal taste.
But I also think, that's it's better to hide tails in outfits like the Phönix Riser suit. Or in other heavy armor, where it makes no sense to let the tail vulnerable.

You just posted something positive in a doomsaying thread completely clogged with the people that totally(insist) the love the game and only have valid critiques and don't attack other players because they want what's best for the game totally. /sarc
They don't like people posting positive things, so if anyone does, they harass the person until they leave the thread and/or forum. The ones that make 'em really mad are those of us that don't bow to their harassment and leave but continue to praise the game for what we think it does well and critique it for what we have issue with while somehow not brigading or dog-piling on people that disagree with us.
