Content Creators that you actually enjoy watching

It's a shame Lucy Pyre stopped doing FF14 videos, her stuff was so funny. The last one she did that had anything to do with FF14 was over 7 months ago.

I think the rapid growth and fame she got from her content was too much for her.

All of them is pretty much full of themself, and all of them give a onesighted way of how the game is.

Which is a problem...

They are a hinderance and do little good at all for the community, and half of them rely on datamined material as well.

Hmm, I dont follow. I like to know why you say that for? There is alot of good creators that does good for the community from Housing to Raiding (I know you would look at the Race to First stuff with Mogtalk).

MrHappy, xenosys, Meoni. I don't watch all their videos since I know a lot of it already, but sometimes I do.

MrHappy has reasonable and considerate takes on everything instead of throwing out inconsiderate, selfish, narrow-minded hot takes like most players.

Xeno plays a character that drives his most entertaining traits into high gear and took some content ideas from Asmongold and Arthas such as ban appeals, reacts and still image scenes, so pretty fun to watch these days. Also like him representing tanks, teaching tank stuff to people and highlighting tank issues.

Sometimes any of the popular raid strat channels such as joonbob or Hector, obviously, because it could be problematic to join a party that asks for these strategies when you haven't looked them up (although I admit I have not done so before when I get what the strategy is or there is only one possible way to do the mechanic).

I watch various new player videos sometimes too.

MrHappy and Xenosys mostly, because they make videos about ffxiv fairly often. Many other creators post once a month or started playing other games so I'm no longer interested in their videos. Meoni's channel is like the news. I type "ffxiv" in search and oh look at that, the seasonal event is up. The video itself doesn't add much so I usually don't bother. Almost forgot Frosty Mogborn. I like his and MrHappy's long podcasts.

The only streamer I followed was Asmongold. Haven't been to Twitch ever since he quit the game.

None. I did used to follow Zepla and MTQ back in the day though. But in 2023 they all pretty bad imo, not entertaining and just ramble or make a 15 minute video of something that shouldn’t take more than 2-3 minutes. But I understand why, they need long video for the algorithm.

A few months ago i wrote a literal review of each content creator that we had back in the days. Things do not changed.

To be honest, the best thing that 'our' community produce is memes. Content creators has a few exceptions like Xenos and Arthars that commonly give decent feedback.
Zepla? more forced everyday, changed even more after Asmongold. She literally screams like the world is falling apart. Her content was better when she was chill. Unwatchable IMO.
Desperius is trying hard to be an edgy anarchist boi fighting against SE tyranny against mods.

With the whole Desperius situation being how it is, it's brought up the time tested tradition of people saying "All XIV content creators are garbage and cringe etc etc" so I wanted to pose the discussion of which XIV creators people actually enjoy watching. I mean they can't allllll be bad.

Personally I really enjoy watching Xenosys. Yeah he can be cringe like they all are, but I think it's in a fun way plus its very apparent that he does have a great appreciation for the game and the persona he has on stream just hams up the degen behavior for his chat. His video meeting YoshiP at Fan Fest this year is genuinely heartwarming and to me shows how much he cares about the game and the community.

MrHappy as well, not as much to say but he is just a solid content creator in my eyes

Pint, Bene G., and Lucy Pyre are by far my favorite FFXIV content creators. They're all talented and never fail to make me laugh.

I watched her and Pint on a collaboration recently. I think she just had too much on her plate and needed to cut back to a more reasonable production schedule.

Pretty much Xeno and Lucy. Will watch a Happy video from time to time if it's a topic that sounds interesting to me like his looking back series with all the jobs.
