If I bought it for a single character, I believe I should be able to transfer it between characters I own in the account without having to buy the outfit again for a different character.
I understand that you'd like to be able to use it on another character but it's just not the way most MMORPGs are designed. The drop is a reward for the character doing the content. Imagine having to constantly role against every party member for every item because they all have alts they want to give the item to.

As for the cash shop items, they are single character for a reason. If they wanted the items to be shared, they would make them account wide in the first place.

Do the content solo unsynced (or with Duty Support when available) and then you don't have to compete against other party members. I acknowledge that it would be a problem in the case of Alliance raids but still if you're going to be doing the content to farm the item, it makes sense to do it on the character that you want to have the item.

Again, if you can only justify going to the effort once then how do you justify having the alts at all? You clearly don't have time for them.

That's incorrect. When you are editing glamour plates, there's a link to the Armoire so you can attach items stored there to a plate. Placing those items in the Armoire where they can be stored saves valuable space in your glamour dresser for the items that can't be placed in the Armoire.

I actually agree that inventory space is generous and not that hard to manage but a large portion of the player base disagrees. I don't have extra retainers for the inventory space, I have them for the extra market listings.

Except I actively play my alts. Anytime I decide I want an item on one of my alts, I use that character to farm for the item. If I didn't want to play my characters, I wouldn't have them in the first place.

This is one area where I think the developers are unlikely to make change if only for reasons of content longevity. If players could farm everything on their mains and funnel them to alts, they'd run out of things to do faster and it would add to the complaints of "there's nothing to do".

If the developers decide they are willing to do it, then things work out for you and others who feel the same way. I still don't see the need when I can farm the item on the character I want to have it.
