You can practice Tank/Heal roles by going with npcs first.
Knowing the fights in advance will help you a lot..
as the unknown get's less unknown
=> which is the main cause of the anxiety.

I think what you're referring to OP is performance anxiety and it doesn't matter if its a interview, meeting or video game it affects people in different ways and I know you are a troll but you make posts defending these things and now you are attacking them. Why are you at the bottom of your barrel...why do you give us one decent thread then 20 bad ones. I suffer with anxiety in my day to day not enough to actually cause issue, I tank, I heal in game content no problem sometimes it is just taking that first step. Thankfully for the most part this community is kind enough to let players who are scared of that first step take it with a guided hand (Not all the time mind you)
This is not a thread to make and regardless of trolling or sarcasm or whatever...really need to be better than this.

I dont know how can people be nervous or anxious at all I never had this problem in my life to be honest I rather laugh at stressful situations and mock, when I started tanking in ff14 whatever raid or trial I always wanted to main tankHow the hell is this real? How can people unironically get so anxious they freak out at the thought of having to heal Sastasha? Why do people get overwhelmed so much in this game? Why is it that every other pug I join someone will broadcast their anxiety going like "sorry i'm too scared to heal >.<"
Everyone in FF14 needs to control their emotions and read Marcus Aurelius!!!
(Edit: Basically I play the cocky over confident tank)

If you really don't understand it then I suppose you're just unique. Going through life never having any fear or hesitation whatsoever. Most people aren't like that.
Because they are unaware of how easy it is because they are new. It is also not just the healing that makes them anxious, but the fear of how people will treat them if they do it wrong and let someone die.How can people unironically get so anxious they freak out at the thought of having to heal Sastasha?
Because casual. They don't know every little detail of the game like you. Their /playtime is on average under 300 days. Why do people get overwhelmed so much in this game?
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

I find this to be particularly true for those that are coming from games where seeing people regularly and viciously attacked for the slightest mistake is common.
I know it was true for me when I tried healing.

While this is easy to say, DOING it is something else entirely.
Ignoring what others think of you requires strength of will, something many young people have yet to accomplish. Also the whole 'peer pressure' thing of looking good and proving yourself factors into the difficulty. Thus anxiety rears its ugly head in their minds and thoughts.
As one gets older and more experienced in life, it gets far easier to accomplish this, ie: not caring what others think of you or caring how they treat you. You are who you are and they can either take it or leave it.
