Sorry, but what even is this? If there are more DPS in queue, of course your roulette time is going to take longer. Are you complaining about the concept of supply and demand?

There is not shortage in supply and demand. It is only a created reality where Tanks and Healers are the most demanded, and they are absolutely the most easy to play. I can choose between any of them.
So what are you complaining about? Job difficulty, not high queue times?

If there are less of a role in queues than there are queues to be filled, that role is in need. Simple supply and demand concept. So if you see tanks or healers in need constantly, queue on a tank or healer, insta queues and bonus. EZ.
But you're also choosing not to play tank or healer, and so you are stuck with the longer queue time. It's basic math problem.
You need 1 tank, 1 healer, and 2 DPS to create a Light Party to enter a dungeon.
50 players enter the queue. There are 4 tanks, 7 healers and 39 DPS.
How many Light Parties can be formed? How many players are left in queue?
If players continue to enter the queue at the rate of 1 tank every 2 minutes, 2 healers every 3 minutes, and 5 DPS every minute, how long will it take for the remaining players from the original queue of 50 to get match to a Light Party?
There is a shortage in supply when players aren't willing to fill the needed roles. That's why tanks and healers get the Adventurer in need bonuses - to encourage players to use the least used roles. As others have said, this problem is really no different from others using the trinity.
If you're really not interested in waiting, Duty Support exists for any dungeon part of the MSQ. For other group content, try Party Finder.
Also, a world being Congested means nothing when it comes to group matchmaking. Matchmaking is data center wide. It's still reliant on players queuing for the duties/roulettes in the correct proportions for the content.
Easy to play, hard to play, that doesn't matter. They are needed. DPS are easily replaceable because it's the role that has the lowest level of responsibility. Your only real responsibility it's hit the right combo and not die by doing something dumb. Also, blm at a casual level is not a difficult job to play.
Learn the mantra:
As a dps I'm expendable.
Once you come to be at peace with this reality, 10-20 minute queues will be a breeze and you'll be glad you don't have 1+ hour queues.
Sincerely: A dps main.

What's funny is I find a lot of the DPS classes way harder to actually play than tank or healer. While not brain shattering, they tend to have more complex rotations and procs and timers to watch. So I find being a GOOD dps has a lot of responsibility also. Playing tank or healers at the casual level is less effort IMO, even if there is more responsibility technically.Easy to play, hard to play, that doesn't matter. They are needed.
