Easy to play, hard to play, that doesn't matter. They are needed. DPS are easily replaceable because it's the role that has the lowest level of responsibility. Your only real responsibility it's hit the right combo and not die by doing something dumb. Also, blm at a casual level is not a difficult job to play.

Learn the mantra:

As a dps I'm expendable.

Once you come to be at peace with this reality, 10-20 minute queues will be a breeze and you'll be glad you don't have 1+ hour queues.

What's funny is I find a lot of the DPS classes way harder to actually play than tank or healer. While not brain shattering, they tend to have more complex rotations and procs and timers to watch. So I find being a GOOD dps has a lot of responsibility also. Playing tank or healers at the casual level is less effort IMO, even if there is more responsibility technically.

Yup... Remember the months of threads on here when Stormblood launched of DPS complaining about waiting over an hour, sometimes multiple hours just to progress MSQ duties because duty support didn't exist back then.

As a healer...I wish there was an ability much like City of Heroes Vengence.

Basically it was an ability that would only be able to be used upon the death of an ally. It would boost damage, accuracy, and defense for the alive party members.

Make the floor tanks still useful.

Queue as a DPS and you could wait anywhere from 10 - 20 mins, from a world that is "congested." Meanwhile, only Tanks and Healers get perks from running Roulettes, and god forbid you choose a DPS else you will not only be unrewarded, but wait in line for 30 minutes. I have canceled my sub at this point, and its running out soon. This game has a lot of work to do. Stop the glamourized timed sync from 1.0.

If that's what made you cancel your sub, better not try any other non-sandbox MMO lol.

I mean this is what happens when Tank and Healer's, Feel neglected, With poor balancing choices and ways to dull down the role into "blue DPS" or "Green Dps" but easier!

Even combined don't have the same amount of roles, It's going to be 4 Tank / 4 Healer / 13 DPS meaning theirs less then 1/3 Tanks or Healers despite that healers and tanks take up 1/2 the party space DPS has.
