think of the fat chocobo shenanigans. it would be the best fight of all time.

Didn't Endwalker put an end to the concept of Primal = Bad?
It did. We also now know that the tribes know how to summon benign Primals that don't temper.
Having said that, Valigarmanda/Tritoch from FFVI has been announced as a trial battle in DT, and we know Asura from FFIV will be a fight also still to come in patch 6.5 presumedly... so maybe SE hasn't entirelly finished with the idea of Primal fights yet.
Fat Chocobo is also a mount too already so there is that.
I kinda wish Asura was a trial. If its not, I'm going to feel let down.It did. We also now know that the tribes know how to summon benign Primals that don't temper.

Kinda upset still they didn't finish the trio in Stormblood and have a trial vs Amaterasu after giving us Susano and Tsukiyomi.
A trial vs a primal version of a Fat Chocobo tho... would need to be heavily comical.
When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
We have technically solved the issue of primal summoning in our known world.
But Meracydia still exists, and the warring triad are a great example of how their summoning goes.
There is a good chance we may se some alternate primals from that region, and i hope we do, because that means more battle content for the game.
The only time I could see this being appropriate is if they stick in like a Hildebrand quest or something.
