    Chocobo 2.0

    Hearing about finally being able to train and fight beside the Chocobo was a long held dream come true. I just can't wait for it.. but this morning came a horrible thought.


    Will the Chocobo be a permanent companion like it should or will SE make them a 1 time per daay 30 minute summon?

    Just the idea of it ...

    In FFXI, the companions could only be summoned for like half an hour or 15 kills, whichever came first (increasing the more often they're summoned), and had a 12+ hour-long cooldown (been a long time since I played). It's supposed to be for people to do some quick XP'ing on the side while waiting for a party invite, or for casuals/soloists to get through some content that would otherwise be impossible for a single character to get through.

    I don't want a timer. I couldn't even level my companion because so few kills at a time meant I was soloing most content anyway. ;_;

    permanent. until you want it to ride. It can't fight while you ride it.

    i hope the chocobo is a real partner not fluff BS.
    either like the companions in swtor or like beastmaster pet in ffxi.

    I believe it will have a cooldown.
    Im also hopping for a long cooldown too, 30 min every 6hrs or 30min every 12hrs.
    I dnt think they will make him a permanent buddy since they trying to make ffxiv less solo friendly...

    chocobo take the slot of a party member, so we should expect no cooldown
