Moving DCs would be an option but just be aware they could probably still find you if they wanted unless you move to an entirely different region.

Lodestone will always give you away, no matter the DC or region, through name changes, fantasia, etc etc.

Tbh, while the friends list changes are needed and a simple solution, a combination of lodestone profile and in-game player search would likely be enough to accomplish the same level of harassment, friends list or not.
