I have a dumb question regarding -leves.

When you go to pick up local and guild leves, does it matter what your current class is (current item equipped)? Meaning, are different quests available or guild marks available as rewards depending on who you are when you start talking to them?

I ask because I started to notice maybe a month ago that this one quest offered me Therm guild marks, and while my second DoW class is Therm (haven't started learning any others yet), it's not my main, and was wondering if it selected rewards based on who you were?

Well from what I have seen you can accept them on any job, but accepting certain ones will change other ones rewards. For example, I had 3 leve's for rank 40's that gave me Con marks, on accepting one of them the other 2 changed right after one offered less con marks and the other changed to Pgl marks. So from what I can tell, it only matters on what you pick first and it may only effect other leve's so you can not get to many of one type of mark in one reset.

Just don't forget that if they are pug guild marks, if you don't do the leve as pug you won't get any marks. If that was too basic, sorry

You can get marks for any job over 15, so anything that is high enough to at least qualify for the 20 camp leve's you can get marks for.

I believe you can get marks for any job you have over rank 10. I get THM, and LNC marks and neither of them are over 15. They only appear in rank 20 or higher leves though.

no, marks are assigned randomly to levequests at the leve reset. In otherwords, if you change classes to pick up the leves, the same rewards are offered. Also, the same rewards are not offered for the same levequest each reset. I have not yet seen a pattern for rewards, so I think they are randomly assigned.

If you have a class within range of the leve, then there is a chance that leves will offer marks as a reward for classes withing range. What the other poster said about rank 15 is actually not true. You can start getting marks as rewards from the rank 10 leves, but since you need to do so few of them before they aren't worth it any more, the chance is rare that you will find one that offers marks.

Oh, it's also important to note that at rank 50, you can still get marks for rank 40 leves. So there is no risk of missing out on marks if you do the leve failing thing with your linkshell, you can always get them after r50.
