Isn't job gear supposed to go in the Armoire? I got the lvel 60 job gear for ninja but it won't let me put it in there even tho I can put the lvel 50 one in there.

Let's get one thing straight, I'm not
Depends on the job gear.
Armoire's a weird inventory that's used to store gear that can be tracked on the character, usually via achievements gained from quests. I cannot at all recall how the 60 job gear is granted, tho, so that particular aspect might not apply. The other thing that typically makes gear suited for Armoire is that it is otherwise impossible to re-obtain. There are no other sources of the ARR job gear, while the HW job gear can be repurchased with Centurio Seals.
Basically Armoire shouldn't be considered any sort of reliably consistent inventory storage for anything other than most seasonal event gear.

Lvl 60 Job gear was acquired from Tomes in HW, so its not tracked and is not able to be put in the armoire. In fact, only 2.0 Job gear is able to be placed in the armoire, and only the initial set.
ARR job gear can be bought at the Calamity Salvager.

The Armoir is essentially reserved slots for specific peices of gear, it has exactly the capacity for those peices only. And that gear is typically things you can't re-acquire.
From HW onward, you're able to reclaim or repurchase job gear, so it doesn't need to add capacity to the Armoir. You can throw it, then reclaim it if you need it again.
It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.
You can actually not reclaim HW job gear, because it is acquired through poetics and can be turned in for company seals. The Armoir is essentially reserved slots for specific peices of gear, it has exactly the capacity for those peices only. And that gear is typically things you can't re-acquire.

You can really only get job gear from the salvager that was gained through quests, because those can not be repeated to reacquire it.
It's unnecessarily confusing tbh, but not too big of a deal so it's probably at the bottom of their priority list.

If gear can't go in the Armoire, then read if it says "Shop Selling Price". This means that an NPC sells it. If you got it from a quest (such as job gear), this usually means the Calamity Salvager sells it for 1,000 gil, so you can safely delete it.
Most other gear can obtained again as well. Loot can be looted again. High-quality or crafted gear can be bought or crafted. Tomestone gear can be obtained from tomestone or hunt NPCs. There is very little that you can't get again somehow if deleted and what can't you usually can put in the Armoire. Rarely there has been gear you can't get again that also won't go in the Armoire, but now you can put that in the Glamour Dresser.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."
