I was saying i want more grinds and prefer having grinds I'm not against grinds. I was just bringing up modern gaming in general and how much easier things in games became and want to go back to when mmo games were grindy. There's sufficient answer right below your comment:
But my personal answer would be recommending you not to play MMORPGs if you don't like grinds. If you want instant rewards and dopamine shots, you have wide selections of games on your disposal. Just play other games. Feels good to say this buzz phrases after it was directed to me numerous times because I'm so unreasonable by wanting MMORPG to have at least a hint of MMORPG in it.
Do you want reward? Then work for it. Why is this such an alien concept for some? Do you not want to? Nobody is forcing you, relics are irrelevant, they're bis only at .55, but at that point, no content where gear matters is relevant.
Did you never had that great feeling after completing long grind? I have 5 legendaries in GW2, all of them were hard earned, each one was long months of playing (granted, that game handles grinding in much more entertaining way than FFXIV does). After I complete one, I'm finally satisfied, my hard work pay'd off. Next day, I start working on a new one.
But most importantly, you have so much non-grindy content in whole game. Dungeons, MSQ, normal raids, whatever, why can't we have at least one last bastion of what MMORPG is supposed to be?
So yeah, that's my answer, go play some zoomer game with instant gratification and participation awards, you will fit perfectly into these toxic communities, especially with your last sentence.
I meant it as answer for atelier, I was just putting your comment in since it said pretty much what I wanted to say. I'll make it swap places so it's more obvious.
Go play Lost Ark or heck Diablo 4 where they want you to farm renown over and over again every season then.
You lack actual perspective
Why does everyone treat it as a personal attack when someone says they want grinds and not want an mmo to play like a single player game.
Anecdotally speaking, for once I got called being 'mentally ill' for doing 255 DRN runs to grind all relics at its inception cause just how much I loved it, and a couple more to help friends. I won't be surprised anymore lol.
it feels like people who play ff14 came from single player games and have never touched a single mmo and want it to play like a single player game
Very insightful. Much comeback.
Stop trying to make your argument by saying that people want some Lost Ark level of grind, nobody said that they want to farm daily for 8 hours a day just to get BiS or whatever you grind for in that game. Some people just want some long term grinds and some longer lasting content, that's all. You already have so much one and done content in game, just do that and then go play another game. Your comments are 0% arguments, 50% filler, 40% hyperboles and whataboutism, and 10% insults. Get a grip.
Exactly i want something that takes more then an hour to obtain. I dislike how when 6.45 came out and had the relic handed to me because i was already capped on tomes.Very insightful. Much comeback.

Because you want FFXIV to be like those games that already has frustrated its playerbase? It's frustrating enough that people constantly ask for grinds and without fail everything a game implements those desires it's just kills the game
