Hello!

This is my first forum post - I hope I'm posting in the right place!

My partner recently started playing through ARR via the free trial (yay)! One of the biggest pain points for her as a new player has been the controls on controller, and she has no interest in attempting to play mouse and keyboard. I remember (around 5000 hours ago hehe) being a new player myself having started on console and having similar difficulty, though having played more games in my life, I was able to simply power through. I've mostly been able to help resolve her issues with the controls and streamline things for her (I really love the controller support and options for the game), however there is one thing I think would be a good, albeit small change that I would like to see implemented.

What occasionally will happen is she will be in combat, accidentally tap the pad button on her controller, and all of a sudden move her skills around on her hotbar or delete them altogether. What I would like to see is the functionality of the pad button for hotbar editing being able to be toggled - that it would be allowed to open hotbar editing if set to do so or simply disabled from that function while retaining its functionality with HUD cycling either way. I admit, playing (on PC now) with a controller, I also once in a while will fat-finger this button in combat, and while I'm able to just carefully toggle the editing back off with no consequence, if I could simply change my settings to have it not happen at all, I think that ultimately would be better.

Does the option of disabling the pad button for the hotbar editing function already exist and I'm just missing it in the settings? Does anyone else have this problem, agree, or disagree? Please let me know if I posted this to the wrong forum, and I will move it accordingly!

Thank you very much!
