Dead Queues For Ranked PVP

So this is my first forum post so if it's in the wrong place I apologize.

I am wondering was SE can do to incentivize ranked play for CC. I was excited when they announced the shiny PVP weapons. I do think there should be rewards for ranked so was fine with this.
The first couple weeks of the patch were fine could get into matches and I climbed to gold and was confident I could make it to Diamond. I left town for a week and come back and have not been able to get into ranked since. every time I queue I sit for 90 minutes and nothing. This also doesn't seem unique to the Primal data center as SE put in there last update they would changes matchmaking in JP due to the current situation.

So the crux of my question what can SE do? Would a ranked match daily help? maybe increased Tomes or EXP for ranked over Casual matches? I think ranked should have rewards tied to it but not if it's impossible to get in and do the content.

also CC is basically like feast, idk if it's your first time but you need to get to at least plat in the first week

there are ways to solve this issue but all of them will piss off some players:

(1) rank decay
(2) much shorter seasons
(3) as you said, more rewards

personally since making pvp not shit is hopeless they should probably try one of those other 3 options.

Rank decay will put more people off than it pulls in. The game's PvP just isn't good enough to get away with that at this time. Now if they un#*&% the PvP first, then rank decay might not be the worst idea in the world to look at in the event there's still an issue with on-going participation.

Ranked to me suffers from two main issues, First the ranking system is horrible, and secondly, the rewards structure and incentive for Ranked PvP sucks. With most of the rewards besides meaningless portraits and plates being out of reach of most people, it's not exactly going to motivate me, or anyone else who casually pvp's to queue into ranked at all. An overhaul to the way ranking works, and adding rewards for achieving lower ranks, (As well as higher ranks, people deserve to flex their accomplishments.) than maybe I and many more people would consider playing for more than one season an expansion.

This, and the reward is an ugly mount. Cool costumes do the trick a lot better I'll be honest SE.....

Anyone here put up their shields just to find out it didnt take but your character did the animation anyways and now you're hovering around the stage in fetal position and no protection? I know its happened to me...

It's basically the same on OCE, the only saving grace is the PVP community discord that organize certain days for PVP queues.

So we do get to PVP, just at set times.

I also noticed on primal that ranked que takes forever and only the casual one pops fast.

The easy solution would be to drop the Ranked/Casual separation, but that would require a rework of the ranking system to keep people from getting unneccesarily punished for trying out a new job, or wanting some brainless PvP in the evening.
