You are not in a position to judge anyone with 6 months in Eorzea. Stop playing smart, FFXIV didn't start when you joined. You have no clue what happened here.

Counting is hard
I've fed the troll long enough now tho, getting boring, was entertaining for a while though
I guess we all got an answer to where the billions of "multiowners" gil go. Silence.
I think this case is closed. Everyone can make make their conclusions.
The most bids i saw on leviathan was 350 bids but its a high pop server that gets locked and congested when a new patch comes out for a period. there is no way houses on dynamis or the new EU servers reach 400+Some facts seem alien to newcomers....300 bids on a medium? Impossible! 400? No way!

Most of the standard Forum users dont even have the knowledge about the ingame systems to make conclusions on that. Just take a look at the Novice Network when it comes to housing. The Idiots sry I mean Mentors are still providing 4 years old or even older information down the line to Sprouts. Most of them are still clueless about the Purchase Flag, FC Master change, Lottery cycles etc.
And you want those kind of dumb players to make assumptions without any proves and facts? Well just go ahead to ask for it. It just ridicules your real good reasons to make people aware of it.
Last time I counted the FCs shown by the OP generated between 25 and 30B but here I am sitting on just over 1B, I am glad you came in this topic and shared us your view on it because I couldn't figure out where all my gil went to.
These are not bots. They are individual FCs likely owned by the same person on alt characters. You can't bot the lotto.I play on Sagittarius and recently I noticed certain FC wards being completely taken by the very same name, and upon closer inspection I noticed they just have the same TAG, but in fact they have such a boring bot names like "Mists-9-39" or "Beds-5-13" and so on. Only the fact that that entire FC wards are filled with bot FCs is concerning, because about a year ago or so, half of the wards were made FC-only, or.. well.. bots only.
Disclaimer: I tried to do my best to censor the names but also to show offenders, if something is against rules, let me know.
On these two pictures, if posted correctly, we can see two things:
1) Majority of the ward is occupied by bot FCs with the same tag, and pretty much same name with just different number at the end, like proper bots.
Again, they are not bots. Multi-ownership is not botting, two completely separate issues. The lotto has effectively killed botting in the housing world.
Selling FC houses is a thing, yes, but most likely you're looking at a multi-owner who's either using these FC houses for the workshop, or building a little housing decoration enclave, or both.
If this is the case, report it to the Special Task Force. But understand that these RMTers tend not to keep pictures of their actual properties up, many of us have found them in the past to report them this way.It haven't took me even 3 minutes, and I managed to google a site that was literally selling the very same houses for disgusting amount of money (literally thousands of dollars). And I am not joking about this. I am not going to post any web or hint you towards such a site, but I would like to make the developers aware of the bot problem and business with their limited housing in their game. I am sure that if there would be and ingame GM like in the old mmos, the kind that interacts with community, they would act against this, but nowaday, this is not the case.
This isn't anything new, plenty of people before you have found this is going on and reported it. Repeatedly.
The problem with this is simply that there are many players out there who do own multiple FC houses who aren't doing anything related to RMT with them. Workshops/RP spaces/housing décor. It's almost impossible for a GM to discern who is doing what with a property. And as multiownership does not violate the ToS, GMs hands are tied. Not to mention they do not touch anything to do with RMT, that's the Special Task Force's wheelhouse and theirs alone. In the end, it might seem ridiculous to spend so much money on a bot house and have no guarantee of ever receiving it, but imagine playing on a server where housing is limited, much like my friend who is desperately trying to get housing for a couple of years, what would these people give to get a Large house on the their server?
With that, I would propose a simple solution: Give a task to some of your GMs to check the housing areas, it's so simple to spot these - they are literally FCs called by the plot name, so they are easy and clear to sell... Why do you have the GMs in the game? To sort problems of course! Sort the problem then, and get rid of these bots out of your limited housing-
I know there are bots in every game, but this is so obvious it's almost offensive, and because the developers don't care, I feel like it's my responsibility as a player to notice them about it.
If you feel this is possible RMT, report it to the STF on the website, otherwise, well... nothing to see here. Just someone using houses in a way you don't approve.
You can't really "ruin" a neighborhood using what SE designed - working as intended.
Did not happen on Spriggan. Some facts seem alien to newcomers....300 bids on a medium? Impossible! 400? No way!

You just lost any and all credibility with this one.Read first and then answer. I never spoke of plot 41 smart @ss. And the relevance of when joined Eorzea is huge cause it means you may not have experienced the housing savage after wow refugees flooded Eorzea, before Sagi and Phantom opening brought some sort of relief, even temporarily.
Sorry.
Unless you want to claim that you're talking about some EU world other than Spriggan or Twintania?
