Duo with new players in NG+

I want to be able to sync my NG+ with a new person in my party and then play alongside them.

I have gotten SEVERAL of my friends into this game. The biggest draw for my friends is that we'll get to play together. I wanna help them do quests, watch cutscenes in tandem, I wanna chime in on dialogue, etc.

It's all solo content, and that's actually really sad and isolating. Open worlds are supposed to be explored with all your friends in their silly outfits bouncing around you.

Every so often they've gotta dip out to do an instanced quest or an area.

Would it be too much trouble to allow for two players to do content like instanced fights together?

It would be so much easier to get my friends invested in the game if I could just play with them consistently early game.

I swear, I should just apply for mentor status.

    I agree.

Solo duties specific for job quests are one thing, but there's many in the MSQ with no special events that would limit multiple players from completing them or getting the full experience. In fact, as the game has gone on these duties are MORE common.

Their fixation on making the game solo-friendly has come at the expense of making it less 'two or three friends' friendly, and I worry this trend continues when they had an excellent chance at addressing it with the 2.x rework and NG+ system.

I also think it's incredible that they expanded the duty support system and yet you cannot use duty support with parties of 2 or 3, with the remaining slots fillable by NPCs.
