Also how you think that goes for the established gear progression? Also the levels would have to scale differently in power gain cause one less level.

Rather have them focus on actual meaningful content for the next expansion than throwing away dev time for a random homage.

If your definition of "charm" is the subtraction of one level from 100 which causes development changes that mean they cut corners at other places, then yes. No thanks to your definition of charm.

Gear scores would have to be updated, mobs and bosses would have to be rebalanced, already set quests and progression would have to be overhauled too. Not to mention that we would level slower ofc which would be also a less satisfying experience for players. And that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to problems.

If you really think they should put weeks and weeks of dev time into such a small gimmick then you are kuponuts.
