I don't mind skipping phases in Alliance Raids. It's a big time commitment for a Roulette as it is, and you're not missing many important story beats. The X.0 Trails though, and especially Endsinger? I'm completely in favor a ilvl synch for those.

Most of the content hasn't been rebalanced for the massive power creep we have gotten over years on top of the ilvl growth.
They should aim to make most of it play at more similar pace as it was when it released, with maybe minor exceptions (Nier raids had insanely bloated HP, Thordan was too weak even on release).
Normal content wasn't impossibly challenging even when it was fresh, there's no need to fear that players will get stuck indifinitely on them. They could be really heavy handed with ilvl and if they are THAT worried about player performance, give heftier Echo that grows even further over wipes to compensate the change.
I 100% agree with them ilvl synching this fight. Whenever I've helped new friends do the fight, I would purposely withhold dps so they would be able to see the entirety of the fight and hear the song of hope. I find it very sad that newer players are robbed of the experience if people are just doing normal dps.

Posting to show support for this. Honestly a forced min ilvl would be ideal. Even back in SB it was kind of sad seeing people get to Thordan all hyped up only to be completely let down.

Adding my "agree" to the masses. Since I started in Late Stormblood / Early Shadowbringers, it felt really bad that the capstone fights of Heavenward and most especially Stormblood, a huge dragon of incomprehensible power, were steamrolled. The dissonance made question the story writing as a whole.
Adding my voice agreeing to this. Thordan is and always has been a joke of a fight, yet he's also the only fight you can ensure you see all mechanics save for the wild swinging which is funny but not heavily missed, while every other capstone fight feels increasingly cheapened by a mixture of job skill powercreep and ilvl bloating, and the Endsinger in particular has 10 years of effective importance behind her being thrown away.
Not Just Endsinger. Hades, Shinryu, and Thordan also feel too weak. They should make like an MSQ trial roulette with stronger ilevel sync that includes these trials. Weak final bosses detracts from the RPG experience.

There’s already a mechanism that recognizes if someone in the party hasn’t cleared the fight. If there’s a first time bonus - lower the max ilvl and grant bonus exp. Otherwise leave it as is. Roulettes aren’t just there for new people, they’re also for people who want the daily exp boost as quickly as possible. If there’s nobody new to the fight there’s no point making it longer/more annoying to complete.
That's where you are wrong though. Roulettes exist solely to make sure old content is filled with enough people for new players to go through it smoothly. The experience and tomes that you get are just the bait that is being used to lure old players in to help out. Besides, we are talking about trials. Even if the max ilvl is lowered it wont make it into some long and arduous experience. It will maybe add 2 or 3 minutes on to the fight. If you are there for the rewards alone then that's really not much, but it can absolutely make the difference between a good experience and a bad one for new players. There’s already a mechanism that recognizes if someone in the party hasn’t cleared the fight. Where am I wrong? As I said in the quote, if there are new players, sync it. otherwise why sync it? If you've seen it before, no need to add more time to the fight. your argument is for new players, cool, I agree with that. my argument is if there are no new players in the party, no need to sync it. rewards are reduced if there are no new players, so it should be faster. That's where you are wrong though.
