I feel the same about all the other X.0 Final Fights, and the Cyrcus Tower Raids. I still to this day, do not know how half the mechanics of Cyrcus Tower work, and I've been playing since Stormblood.

100% this! This might even be a problem effecting all Alliance Raids. I've been in at least one run of Aglaia where we skipped the final boss's big attack.

I agree that major bosses should all be ilvl synced though, it kills the experience when you can steamroll it.
The ilvl thing can also lead people to do stuff that they can get away with when they have a high ilvl tank or healer, but if they're not, things are going south. AV is a pretty obvious normal content example.
I was joking with my FC about this the other day. Im levelling an alt and got one shotted, no idea by what, how or why. I arrived much later than you, but I've still finished the main game and ran Cyrcys Tower many times. But, you just kinda plod through it and stuff is over before it really started. I only know a couple of mechanic things, loads I dont know.

Oh absolutely. I'd go so far as to say that everything that doesn't have item level sync SHOULD have item level sync. There's nothing fun about going into a roulette and turning my brain off for 20 minutes.
All normal trials should have an ilvl cap appropriate to when they were released. ESPECIALLY all MSQ ones. New players getting to the end of an epic expansions and just watching the big boss melt has to be so anticlimactic.
Fully agree. Newbies deserve to experience the thematic thrill of the fight, not just clear it.
All final trials need a well-balanced ilvl sync. There are so many things I haven't even seen after a year and a half of catching up that I'm envious of people with enough friends to do min ilvl runs of everything.
I fully agree! Every trial needs to be able to deliver its story beats and The Final Day is particularly important.
This was going to be my fanfest question for YoshiP. I was even sitting in the front row to ask it, but sadly there was no time at the end of the live letter.
"Due to the stronger gear available as new content is released, The endsinger can currently be brought to 1-5%hp in the duty finder before the final phase even begins, often dying within the first 10 seconds of the final crescendo, instead of the 3 minutes the phase took during 6.0.
Many first time players are missing all the prayers of the scions, and the epic finale of the first 10 years of final fantasy 14.
Is it possible that endsinger be synced to the same ilvl as the level 90 artifact gear, so that players clearing the content for the first time today with friends can experience the content as it was intended on release?"
It is an absolute tragedy that players completing the fight after 6.2 via duty finder are robbed of the story's final climax. This must be an oversight. I really hope the dev team can look at this and fix it. It's not the same with trusts and is benefitting essentially nobody by the instance being 3 minutes shorter. Even as a player who runs trials roulette daily, I would want to experience this moment again, especially with how long the instance is already.
I think that all of the story content needs ilvl sync (and, honestly, raids as well) by default. But this one needs it especially badly.
