There's only one choice. The manly lalafell. Sometimes at night I dream that ffxiv is only lala's, with slight variations such as cat ears/tails, super thin, super fat, slightly taller, glasses... The npc's can be any race, but the lala's are the only ones in game. It'd be so cool...

Hey everyone!

We are currently in the process of setting up the character re-customization system that will allow players to be able to change their visual appearance including their characters special features. You will be able to see how your character looks with the new graphics engine and you will have the option to change the aspects that you wish to alter.

Thanks to this, I'm going to wait and see how my male Hyur looks with the new set up. I want to try the male cats but i agree with some of the previous comments on here that 2.0 is going to be flooded with them. I know my GF can't wait to make on of them. We shall see.

when you say in the process of, do you mean we're going to see the customization now/soon or are you just telling us it's being put into the 2.0 client now to torture us?

I've contemplated this question since SE mentioned we were going to be able to re-design our characters. I'm quite attached to my character's current look, so the most I'd change on her would be hairstyle and details pending what is available (or new).

The new races do sound interesting, but I have a feeling I'll be messing around with the character creation area if I get into Beta. :3

Male Miqo'te, because I want to see if I like their animations and customizations enough to play one in 2.0.

And I'll also make a female Miqo'te, because I was really indecisive about whether to play a Hyur or Miqo'te (went with Hyur) so maybe new customization options and playing as one in beta will push me over the edge when character recustomization time rolls around.

I've actually decided on making characters based upon the anime my character is named from... Only that my Beta character will be after my favorite singer, and IF we get to keep those characters, as it would be a waste to have them deleted after the Beta is done

I want to play a male Miqo'te, but I think their may be alot? I am not sure.. It probably should not make a difference, but still. Otherwise perhaps an elezen. Or maybe a roegadyn.. ahh
