    Hi Yves,

Fantastic Guide! I've been doing a variation on this for a while and it's very helpful to new and veteran players on maximizing Hamlet runs.

You are a true asset to the Final Fantasy XIV community, and hopefully this helps those just starting to be successful and win more often.

Really well written . What are the crafting abilities DoH use? I didn't see them in the DoH post.

I quote this! I am an aspiring DoH and wish to know what would be useful to learn.

I wouldn't say there is any single one set that you need, what I work with though, and isn't too hard to get your hands on depending on what your craft of choice is is the following:

Piece By Piece/By the Book (from ARM/GSM level 45 ability)
Unerring Hand/Trick of the Trade (this with Piece By Piece will give you an automatic 50%)
Sure And Steady (a nice bonus to ensure a good 20-30% off of your first swing [there are all sorts of alternatives for this])
    Fulfillment (same as above)
Great Strides (this is optional, but it ensures you can get 100% in 3-4 steps)

I doubt that this is the "optimal" setup, but it is more than good enough to ensure 100% within 3-4 steps, which translates to about 25 seconds of crafting.

The big four are as follows:

    -Piece By Piece, 45ARM
    -By the Book, 4GSM
    -Grand Design, 30WVR
    -Tricks of the Trade, 30ALC

Combined, these give 100% completion in 4 steps with no risk. This is highly important because you will be crafting with a zero durability weathered tool and your turnaround time during certain points is going to be important (depending on how well your team is functioning.)

Don't get discouraged by the levels if you're just starting to work on DoH - you can hit 30 in a matter of hours and 45 isn't much worse. The real grind on DoH is the final leg of 48-50. Also, burn leves north of R30 to be efficient since most synths below this are pretty much easy to farm/buy.

    Don't forget

    -Unerring Hand, 30 CRP

Having the two 45s and two of the three 30s means you will be a crafting machine in hamlet. Plus you have no need for gear so you play dress up.

This is a really nice write up, my only issue is your stance on poison. Loose 3 zombies in a row because of poison tics and your suggestion to people might change very quickly.

Took this into consideration and made an amendment to the DoL section. While I have only had the zombie fail one time it is certain to imagine that, if enough people employ this strategy, it will occur enough (probability) that someone will QQ and then post some entitled reply. Thanks for the feedback - this wasn't so evident last night at 3am lol. The good news is that it isn't much of a shift if the DoH and mages are working to help take them down. If anything, it equates to dropping one cycle of poison for the total run (in terms of time.)

Not to derail the thread or anything, but how do you suggest getting to 30 in a matter of hours? Trying to get my crafts up to reasonable levels now and would love some insight.

    A tip for PLDs

Shield Bash has a high stun rate, and immediately following it up with a provoke should allow you to keep the NM even went it wants to go for a stroll.

Edit: Well written, and intelligent advice. Good effort dude.
