Do we really need the Scions again?

I am fine with them being in the story. But their role was so insignificant that they were practically background characters. Literally and I mean literally they were there only as Trusts for dungeons and trials which is sad.

They could have used this expansion to introduce new characters and new trusts besides Wuk Lamat. Not the story telling but how the story was told felt very glass half full and it made it feel like they cut corners.

Next expansion I hope some of them get culled. That's right, I said it. Kill some Scions, Yoshi. Do it.

I understand that people love these characters, but do we really need all of them back again? Their character arcs were concluded pretty well in Endwalker, in my opinion. Do we really need to see Y'shtola still being sassy and being the one who explains everything to us? Do we really need to see Estinien being terrible at handling money once again? It's a shame that instead of meeting a whole new cast of characters who will join us from 7.0 onward, we're just back to the same recycled characters again. Erenville could've been the catalyst, the first of our new companions, and then we could've slowly built up our new cast of companions along the way, but I guess that wasn't their plan.

The scions and the WoL are a nakama. They've been through hell and back together.

The Scions are the WoL'S closest friends and like family to them at this point. I for one like them still being here and it's not like their stories are done just they can goto the next chapter of their Arcs. How DT handled new characters like Wuk Lamat damn right I want to stick with my Scion family!

Well...you know what the thing is with stories, there can be always better ones. Just because some of you think their stories are over, doesn't mean it has to be so. I am not a veteran, just playing this game for almost 2 years. So I am not yet jaded or bored with the scions. For me, they are still fresh characters. We got introduced to a new character in Dawntrail...and after only playing this expansion for a couple of months, I am exhausted with that goddamn orange cat. I really, really dislike Y'shtola, but I take her over Wuk any day. There can be new stories about the scions and I for one really hope there will be more. Because after traveling with this orange thing, I have started smoking again and I have a nervous twitch, I swear I didn't have before.

I wouldn’t mind them being there if they had like, actual personalities lol. But they just feel like sock puppets at this point. Like, they’re there so the writers can stick their hand up their butt (lol) and make them give exposition, then as soon as it’s done they go back to being flat, lifeless and silent

No, we don't. At most Alphy and Ali because they are the game's Paimon/Navi at this point. People only want them back because they're hot. I don't get why people call them the WoL's friends, because the only ones who seem to be there for him all the time are the twins and Graha. Even Cid is a better friend and he's not even a Scion.

That said, after seeing what the writing staff has in mind for new traveling partners like Wuk Lamat, I'd rather stay with the Scions.
