Cant I swap using CTRL with my mouse buttons?

So I was thinking if I can swap out holding CTRL with holding M4 and M5 it really expand the number of abilities I can easily hit with my fingers but so far I can't figure out how to because I can't hold m4/m5 and the input a number

Yup, mouse side buttons don't seem to work like that.
Maybe you can find a way to make them into a toggle....

For some reason m4 + 1, reads as M4 and 1, being pressed at the same time, rather then control 1, even when m4 is control.

I would really like a way to do this but I don't seem to be able to replace the CTRL commands with M4/M5 commands. because I got the idea of "hey if I could bind two action bars to my M4 and M5 buttons I would be able to have my fingers leave the WASD and reduce my needing to click off some parts off my bars".....now I am going to say take it one step further by changing what left and right click do depending on weather you have M4 or M5 held down lol like for me I can set one to scathe (I like to cast it when I don't have tripple cast up and there is alot of movement) to my right click and leyline on my left click when I hold M4 and when I hold M5 I get tripple and swift cast!

Can you make mouse buttons to duplicate keyboard input? Then you can map it with modifiers.
