Something to consider is that most of the things listen here won't even last a day. Man, if only they didn't make the relic weapon a total joke and scrap exploratory content!MSQ Pt1(About as much as normal patch) & Pt2 (Prologue for expansion)
Trial/Ex
Varient/Criterion
24m
Allied Tribe
Tataru
Hildi
Additional Trial (Asura)
Relic Weapons
Relic Craft/Gather
Crossover Fall Guys
Crossover FFXVI (Yoshi P in talks with Yoshi P, info later this year, but are shooting sometime before 7.0)
Think thats about it, a healthy chunk of content but yeah not enough to last like 3/4 of the year for most folks, all good plenty of great games out this an next year.
ShB was very much not dead because of Bozja and Zadnor was lively and full all the way until 6.0.I actually played the game, and beat most of what I want from it. Hell, there's content I haven't even touched yet (Most of the Gold Saucer, Unreals, Ultimates, etc).
You can't expect a game to constantly spit out new content. We get a delayed launch for 7.0, and that sucks, but don't act like other expansions weren't "dead" after the x.5 patches either.
So I would recommend you repair your faulty memory.

I don't know why, I understood when they announced the extra two weeks per patch that this was in order to make 6.5 shorter by those extra weeks, so they would be releasing 7.0 in mid to late spring.
Well, I guess it gives the staff a bit more time to breathe.
Now that I'm only back every 45 days to keep my house, I don't mind that much as I play whatever came out during my absence and I have dropped savage raiding, but I do feel sympathy for anyone playing daily until 7.0, especially as .5 patches usually aren't that great content-wise.

While this down time does seem long, I do remember significant periods of dead time in this game before expansion launches. The fact of the matter is that no one can create content that lasts longer than it takes to develop it, unless maybe you design a limited currency that takes a few hours to generate and you must generate the max amount every day to be able to acquire gear you need to progress further, but that is a very undesirable system that ends up with a lot of player burnout. In the end this is more of a casual game and has made no attempt to persuade people otherwise, so I'm not sure why people seem to expect something from it that will consume every minute of their time.

So yes, if you have been playing this game for 10 years then you will certainly be caught up on everything you want to do. I find it unreasonable to expect a developer to produce enough content that will keep people logging in everyday or even every week to do something for 10 or more years.
