Thread: Can we dial back the moderation a bit, mods?

I mean really, while I understand where you guys are coming from, there's been an awful lot of thread locking lately, in areas that historically weren't moderated much before.

I'm no big fan of threads like "implement <feature from some other game> in FFXIV" or stuff that's only tenuously related to XIV, but it's a far cry from stuff that's totally not related to XIV, like what kind of cheesecake is your favorite.

Let's be clear, there's threads like those that I don't really like, but I don't necessarily feel they all need to be locked.

This thread will undoubtedly be locked or deleted, but really, do we really need to be so lock-happy?

It's getting to where we can't even mention other games as a reference.

Not telling you guys how to do your job, but you gotta understand that we talk about other games to compare with this one. I think that shouldn't be grounds to lock a thread. All due respect. You guys work hard.
